:banghead: Oooh! Call me an idiot and post obscure stats to show that he's just a slight disappointment instead of a major flop that a lot of people think he is. That'll show me. Yeah like OPS and OPS+, you know the real obscure ones. :rotfl:
I saw one video where it's coming in, but it's not quite at beard status. Too bad he can't get that same coverage on top of his head. It's gone already. Dangit Bill, that would have been awesome.
Yes and the comparison to Corey is silly. Upton averages 70 walks a season. I don't think Corey could get 70 walks in a season where in he started every AB 3-0. The real question on Upton will he ever consistently develop that power he flashed in 2007. The comparison I was trying to make was highly thought of prospect who is basically flopping. Guess I didn't word it well.
Given the general attitude of the board lately, are you terribly surprised people are having trouble looking at the big picture? I wouldn't mind having him, but Tampa is going to want an arm and a leg for him most likely. The last thing we can afford to do is blow up our farm system for Upton.
Yeah, in the twilight of his career, after 27 years of working with one dude, at the age of 63, dude is ready to strike out on his own. Right. That's like if Leo Mazzone would have left the Braves. Not gonna happen.
he is a moody little punk...i see milton bradley in his future No, Milton is like 1000x the hitter B/J will ever be. So he will be Milton while hitting at a Corey Patterson level. I think I'll pass.
