  1. I don't really remember Pierre doing much damage in the NLCS. .303/.343/.455/.797 So...meh. To be fair, he started the rally in Game 6. To be fair, he is awful at baseball.
  2. Tyler Colvin has never saved anybody. Advantage Neifi.
  3. Because it's kind of like an NBA vs. NFL thing. College basketball just isn't very big nationally until March. I still have to think having KU's bball program in with UCLA would be worth more to the Pac10 than Utah football.
  4. If KU really was poised to get the last Pac 10 invite, this whole thing hurts KU more than anything, imo. Now Utah gets invite to #12. Big 12 breaks up again in 3-5 years. The same suspects travel west. aTm goes SEC. KU gets nothing. Newsflash, KU isn't a big deal. I would have thought this whole experience would have made that clear. Huh? I think my post makes it pretty clear I understand that. This was our last best chance to end up somewhere meaningful. If it ends up falling through, we're screwed, because no one is really beating down our doors. Thanks for "setting me straight," though. I am more frustrated than anything, why the hell does college basketball not register at all in any of this?

College basketball doesn't mean much.
  6. I bet we trade Soto. Hendry's final going away gift.
  7. Well if you believe Alden they haven't been trying to leave the conference at all. I don't, at all.
  8. So basically Mizzou really got the shaft in this deal?
  9. Hill will be starting tomorrow, Lou's gotta keep his morale up.
  10. I would assume some of that is from not getting consistant use.
  11. He threw a ball right down the middle to Edmonds for ball 4. That was lost in the Sutcliffe hack job of attacking Zambrano though.
  12. Thanks blue. This inning should have been over along time ago.
  13. Good at bat Ryan. Taking pitches is for pansies.
  14. Theriot still leading off. Can someone explain on base percentage to Lou?
  15. Kstate has to go along with you. No one wants Kstate. You're screwed. that's categorically not true. The Kansas BOR said it would like to keep them together but it's not mandatory. If that's the case KU needs to come out with a statement saying we tried to stay together, but it wasn't working. Then get in to one of the big conferences before you are stuck in the Mountain West.

  17. 2008 seems so long ago. This used to be a huge series.
  18. Seriously...I want a young super phenom pitcher that doesn't breakdown after 2 years. Don't hire Dusty Baker.
  19. Watching this game makes me really miss Mark Prior and Kerry Wood.
  20. If the Big 12 collapses, where the hell does KU end up? Independent?
  21. Yeah. That's how I feel - I didn't like Colvin or Jackson and a lot of guys didn't like Cashner and all 3 of those first rounders have had success to this point. I did want Sale or Castellanos. Was Wilken responsible for Pawalek and Harvey? Just out of curiosity, what was the overall feeling about those 2 when they were drafted? Nope. Wilken's first draft was Colvin/Samardzija. Pawelek was lauded, especially since he signed very quickly (I think the same day he was drafted), which was unheard of for a Boras client. Harvey was also very highly rated and was considered a good pick. Yeah I remember the Cubs announcing during the first round that they had already signed Pawelek.
