  1. Say no to Steele.
  2. Is Derrick close?
  3. Lots of good college players end up in the euro league. Pullen was a baller. Wasn't he really stupid or something? I thought there were concerns about either his attitude or his intelligence fitting at Illinois IIRC he and Carwell didn't get along at all. We took the 7footer. I really think Carlwell could've been a player too. Raw for sure, but he showed flashes his freshman year that gave me the vapors Yep, it sucks what happened to him.

  5. The one where we don't blast them. How's our commit list look for '13? James and Hill don't look like they are dangers to de-commit, and I have a good feeling about Kendrick Nunn. I'd like to see a big man added to the list, though. I'm hoping for Parker, but would love Schilling(sp?)

  7. Kansas by 5. Kill me. This isn't even a good Kansas team.
  8. If that really happened Pearl is still garbage for sabotaging Jimmy Collins' career. God I hate Bruce Pearl.
  9. that's really unbelievable. weber was supposedly in on shumpert from before he blew up. I don't buy that one is true. If it is...:banghead:
  10. If no one transfers, I agree.
  11. Iman Shumpert ‏ @I_Am_Iman @Jpullz0 Weber never offered me...#shrug Man I love these guys having twitter.
  12. Time for a Frank Martin funeral.
  13. “@Jpullz0: Bruce Webber didn't think I was good enough to play at Illinois and I don't think he is good enough to coach at Kansas State”
  14. weber and self in the same state. good luck with all that. He wants pain. Self is gonna take it at him.
  15. Oh man. Ouch.
  16. John wooden, don't let death eliminate someone you really want.
  17. I think he was, are you familiar with Mike Thomas' history with Ohio? Well obviously there's no way of knowing for sure unless someone finds something through a freedom of information search, but do you really think he had Groce ahead of guys like Grant and Miller? I doubt at any point he considered Miller a possibility. I don't think he was all that high on Grant.
  18. How? I think its a top 15 program. Even if all of the teams on abucks list were better than us. That still puts us at 15. I mean sure his list is awful, he didn't include Indiana in it, but even using it we are right at 15. Clearly the job isn't that great otherwise they wouldn't have crapped the bed on the coaching search, but you keep changing conversations between historical rankings, current ratings and how good the job is. By getting our third choice? Did Gunether crap the bed when he got Self? Because he wasn't his first choice. We still got a young coach that was in demand and would have been in more demand in one year. Wait, you don't honestly believe that Croce was your third choice, do you? I think he was, are you familiar with Mike Thomas' history with Ohio?
  19. I wouldn't say he's a lifer, but what better jobs are going to open up soon? There aren't a ton. Most of the elite have pretty good, young coaches in place. You never know when one of these guys might get the itch to take an NBA job or something. I'm not expecting Groce to leave, but I don't expect him to stay for 10-15 years either (but he might, who knows). It just seems a sensible position to take. True, I think if you're winning enough that your coach is in demand you've got a good problem.
  20. We were ranked the number 6 program all time by the Saragin ratings. So good. Iowa was #10 Thanks bob sanders from 6 hours ago.
  21. Well he grew up a fan of Indiana and you seem to be covered. He says he's a big Ten guy, has been a fan his whole life. I really don't see him leaving here on his choice, but who knows. I don't get the sense Groce would be an Illini "lifer", but as long as the program is in good shape the key is the follow-up hire. I wouldn't say he's a lifer, but what better jobs are going to open up soon? There aren't a ton. Most of the elite have pretty good, young coaches in place.

  23. Yeah, McCamey seemed to disintegrate on his own for the most part. This entire past season put all of Weber's weaknesses on full display. It was a veritable symphony of incompetence. Poor discipline (by all indications), poor roster management and some of the worst in game coaching I've ever seen. Weber was seemingly incapable of adjusting strategy to fit personnel which has always been a problem, but never as glaringly so as this year. This year really snowballed on him. I thought after the Ohio State game he might actually get some momentum and figure things out. He didn't at all, in fact that was probably his last hurrah.
  24. that luke zeller, he sure had patience, didn't he? One of the few Weber misses that I'm glad happened.
  25. They're one Zeller away from a bottom third finish. Hopefully he wises up and cashes in. he will be there all 4 years. Then he's as dumb as he looks. I guess if he blows out a knee his big bro can throw him some cash. I don't think he will leave early barring an IU title. The Zellers stay in school. Plus I don't think his game will translate all that well to the NBA.
