  1. So if he hits here to finish the year, he starts next year where?
  2. Yep, that's the main thing I was getting at. You just said it better.
  3. Lindor walks more and strikes out less. He does walk more, but I wonder if at higher levels that will change since he doesn't do a whole lot of damage with his bat. Especially when he starts to face better pitching.
  4. I wanna lol one more time at the dodgers. Thought you had Theo bent over on that Dempster deal. Ha.
  5. He's 18 in the MIDW and way more likely to stick at SS. And Baez is out-OPSing him by 250 points. And in 300 less pa has almost caught him in steals. Baez is a lot better at this point. To be fair, stolen bases won't be a part of Baez' game when he gets to the big leagues. Yes that's true, but at this point I just don't see what Lindor does that Baez isn't doing better. Besides defense. I will always side with the elite offense over defense, always.
  6. awesome reference. Haven't thought of bad ass billy since I was like 13. He was on Raw last week.

  8. He's 18 in the MIDW and way more likely to stick at SS. I'd rather have Javy at third than Lindor at SS. Easily.
  9. Lol at Lindor being in the same league as Baez as a prospect.
  10. It would have been spectacular, well beyond reasonable expectation. I can understand why Epstein was reportedly livid that it fell apart. Yeah he trade raped them, much like he did the padres for Rizzo. I bet he hates seeing Dempster right now.
  11. Ok, it didn't go well this year. Would you say at this point you are much more excited about our team going forward than you were last year at the same time? Maybe? That's the best answer I can give. A lot depends on how interested Epstein and such are in trying to upgrade. Samardzija and Rizzo have taken big leaps forward, and I'm a bit more comfortable with Barney being able to stay in the .680 OPS range. I'm just saying that going into this season, we had a lot of WAR lists that penciled Marlon Byrd in for 3, our catchers in for 2, Ian Stewart and Ian Stewart for 1.5, and we figured the bullpen might be okay. I think we've added young talent. Rizzo, Soler, and torreyes. Baez has been as good as we could have hoped for. This years draft looks great so far. Now all we need to do is start adding upside arms. I can't believe anyone could look at the strides we've made in on year and not see we have the right people running thngs. My mistake. I thought you were asking specifically about the 2013 Cubs. Yes, I'm quite excited about the long-term potential this front office has brought in, and the Rizzo, Marshall and aborted Dempster trades were masterstrokes. Ok, gotcha I do wish that delgado dempster trade would have went through. That would have sped things up.

  14. Again, if Texas offered us Mike Olt for Javier Baez I'd be pissed if we do that trade. Baez might be underrated at this point. IMO.
  15. You saw a decent one that played for South Bend as well, unless you didn't think Justin Upton had a lot of talent.
  16. If that's what the [expletive] he wants that is.
  17. Lol I missed the without, doesnt Vitters have pretty solid upside though?
  18. So they'll want to move Baez?
  19. So glad those asshats beat us on Ron Santo day.
  20. At least the third former Hoosier from the 90s to die. Really sad. yet Isaiah Thomas remains to terrorize us all Death jokes are the best. Especially when you are cheering for someone to die. :hello: classy.
