    i think we've heard enough in regards to his willingness to be traded if it helps the cubs and his willingness to go to atlanta that i'll be right to be upset if he doesn't go. That's where I stand. If he didn't want to be moved he could have said that. But, when he said he would to certain teams and then Theo found one of those teams, he has to go or look like a dbag.

    Seriously? Are people really feeling this way? This might be more than just a baseball decision. He has a kid with DeGeorge syndrome. Sure, it sounds like things are positive, but c'mon now. That's a couple months away from his daugther. As much as we talk about things being "just a flight away" these days, it's still painful, for many parents with disabled/sick children, to be so far away from their child on a daily basis. I think Dempster is enough of a pro to understand the business aspects and eventually approve a trade. I have high doubts that he's trying to force his way to the Dodgers, but that's just my guess based on how open he has been about the destination he's going to. For all we know, it's quite possible that he's just sorting out issues and arrangements. Agreed, but then why did he give the go ahead to negotiate with the Braves?

    Yes, they are. I've always wanted to go to one. But then, I remember that means I have to be in Phoenix in the summer. This would be the year to do it.

    Well that would certainly suck. Would also make the "balancing out the money" side of things more interesting. Maybe we're taking on something a lot bigger? I can't imagine Theo would take Uggla, and he's the only guaranteed contract the Braves have next year (McCann and Hudson have small buyouts). I would take him and spin him to Detroit. If I thought Detroit was interested.

    I love how, if the Delgado Demp trade is done, we sat the market for ourselves. Oh and we sat it very high.

    I want a lot better than Lee for Garza. He was ok for a demp return, but he better not be the center piece for Garza. We've set the bar too high now. Yea, I'm not really thrilled about Lee, mainly because I'm not very high on Lee. In fact, I'm not sure there's a package LA realistically could come up with that I'd like. Me either. We need to look at Arizona. They have a ton of talent and are run by a moron.

    Eh, I'd still say Profar has the higher ceiling and probably the better chance to reach it too, because he's already got plate discipline. And Troy tulowitzki is still alive, I think.

    It's my son's 5th birthday, and frankly, I'm more interested in hearing his thoughts on Dempster and Garza trade possibilities. My 4 yr old probably has a couple ideas she could throw in if you're interested! My four year old would trade the farm for Moustakas. Loves saying his name.
