    Even if he doesn't win any of the three, it's been one heck of a season and extremely fun to watch. We may never see another Cub have this good of individual season. Hopefully it's good enough to get us in the postseason.

    I think the important thing we are missing here is Bob was concerned Dempster was beginning to get a blister because of the sweat and the number of pitches he threw. Not saying he had a blister just saying Bob thought it was a possibility with a closer throwing like 45-50 pitches in one inning. Hopefully we won't need him tonight.

    I'm just curious but is Margaret Sandberg's first wife or second? The only thing in his speech that I can only relate to Sosa is looking at the camera after a homerun. He is the only one every time the camera would go to him and he would do his routine in the dugout.

    That's what kills me. Gerut has better numbers against righties than Holly and Murton should at least get his ab's against lefties. (he's definately deserved it). Why do we have all three. I know Gerut has played right field recently but can Murton play anywhere than left. 3 left fielder's is a waste. Someone should be moved. Hope Holly.

    What did we get in return for Bill Mueller and Michael Tucker? To of my favorites to leave with peanuts returning.

    All in favor say Defense. That's why I'm in favor of it. Better than what we have and had. Now I'm going to take a nap after reading this thread that took what seems like all day.

    Out of all our players to be hurt I'm glad it was Nomar. Don't think I'm crazy because of his offensive capabilities, but when was the last time you read an article about Aramis's training regimen. I think comparisons are a joke but I would hope Nomar based on the shape he is in would heal faster than Aramis or Piazza or whoever. From what I've read the guy works out like 100 hours a day. We all should hope he comes back with a bang.

    I just have to laugh when I see Cedeno on that list. We're letting him rot on the bench for our potential write in all star (CRAP, CRAP, CRAP, CRAP) make me puke Neifi Perez. I work in the car business and it's like letting a used car sit on the lot for a long time. Don't sell it, let it rot. Kind of like Cedeno, we'll keep him around until he can't hit.
