No thank you. I don't need some 3 or 4 loss team to get in just because they won a weak division and got lucky in the conference title game. Does that happen often enough for that to be a legitimate concern every year? I doubt it. Also, if some 3 loss team Cinderella's their way into the playoff, so be it.

Excellent point. I've said it many times, but a New Years Day with all 4 quarterfinal games being played throughout the day would be the most epic sports day in America.

If you're going to go to 8 teams you have to give 1 spot to the Top Group of 5 Champion IMO. If there is 0 chance that a non-power 5+ND team can win a championship in an 8 team playoff, those non-power 5 teams shouldn't even be playing FBS football Ok, well I'm fine with that. Let Bama annihilate Arkansas State or whomever it is every year.

The Cubs have 7 guys with higher WAR's than Cespedes and their salaries combined next season won't equal what Cespedes will make next year. I love it. -

Bama didn't give up a TD the entire month of November. They played LSU, Auburn, and Mississippi State that month. They've given up 8 TD's all year (5 to my pitiful non-bowling Rebels)

fwiw, only 2 players have three of the big four awards that KB has won in consecutive seasons. Trout and Canseco have MILB POY, ROY, and MVP. No doubt both of those guys would have had a great shot at the Golden Spikes if they had gone to college. MILB POY didn't exist before 1981, but if it had, Dawson would probably be in that group to have 3 of 4. His final season in the minors in AA/AAA he hit .352/.413/.658, 28 HR and 73 RBI. Fred Lynn may be in that group as well. His final season in the minor leagues in AAA he hit .282/.368/.489 with 21 HR and 68 RBI.
