My father passed away in late May. Ever since he retired back in 2001, he watched every game on the MLB package. It was a daily routine for him and was really the only thing I talked to him about. The last time I ever talked to him, just hours before his death, the extent of our conversation was about Heyward diving headfirst into the wall. He really loved what he got to saw of this team and I really, really wish he were around to see this. He came real close. -

Given that American Indians do in fact wear paint (historically) I think it's closer to a non Japanese person dressing as a geisha. Still racist AF especially given the historical context of the franchise and logos but not quite blackface. Hmm. A bunch of my friends were involved in a production of "The Mikado" that made national news (2014). The company did it traditional, and the Asian community in Seattle did NOT like. One of the critics called it yellowface. Oh please.
