Not that it means anything other than just being a curiosity, but on BR's HOF Monitor, Tim Raines, with 90 points, is the only player voted in by the BBWAA who is under the "likely HOFer" threshold of 100 since Sutter (79) got voted into the hall in 2006. Sutter only played 12 seasons, so he probably gets a discount in that regard. Before that you have to go back to Tony Perez in 2000 who has a pretty paltry 81 points considering he played 23 years. Before that you've got Hoyt Wilhelm being elected in 1985 with 97 points. Before that you've got Lou Boudreau in 1970 with 89 points. FWIW, the lowest HOF monitor score for any hitter elected by the writers is Rabbit Maranville with just 59 points. The lowest pitcher is Ted Lyons with 65.
