  5. Yeah, my first thought when I saw he was exiting the game was that it reminded me of when a wide receiver drops an easy pass and pretends like he got hurt on the play
  6. So I guess this is Softball Chit-Chat, but it still applies to baseball. Interesting rules question and it doesn't seem like anyone knows the answer to it because, hell, this just doesn't ever happen. So in the Alabama v. Ole Miss game, an Alabama player hit a HR. When she jumped into the celebration, she foolishly leaped over the plate. The Ole Miss catcher and the umpire both noticed this. The umpire handed the catcher a new ball and she tags the girl out. The rules question that this presents is whether she's actually out because it's a new game ball. The "live ball" is of course over the fence. I've seen some suggest that the catcher probably could have also stepped on the plate with the ball and it would have essentially been a reverse force out. time stamped for the play:

  10. Just saw my life flash before my eyes. Thank God Kyle is OK
  11. I remember reading something that said he doesn't do anything great. He's just solid across the board. Like a 3rd starter. As a non-bias observer, he just seems like a real good QB, but not a great one. I think most people, rightly or wrongly, just expect QB's taken that high to be Heisman type QB's that can make an immediate impact. Although he seems to have all the tools necessary, both athletically and mentally, to be a good NFL QB.
  12. Thor's arm may have finally exploded. He just left the game in the 2nd with an arm injury.
