  1. Dear god what have you done...you realize many on this forum would rather listen to the entire horsefeathers ass RHCP discography than listen to a minute of Scully? OMC likes anyone who killed a dozen injuns durin' the French-Indian War Bravo sir
  2. I miss Scully. These were the only games all year where I would watch a different broadcast.

  4. lol that weirdo. Smear campaign? Losing a home game to Jacksonville State and winning 1 SEC game in 2 years is a self inflicted smear campaign, Houston. If the Rebels had somehow miracled their way into a bowl game in his final 2-10 season, it has come out that literally (and that's not the hyperbolic use of the word) half the team would have been academically ineligible. Apology? He should thank Ole Miss for paying him 6 million dollars to piss off. That's right. LSU took a knee against Ole Miss with 5 minutes left in the game.
  5. And getting paid 16 million a year to do so.
  6. Makes me wonder what kind of injuries you'd see if for a day we went back to pre-1895 rules where beaning a baserunner was an out.
  7. Thought left handed and tall, and despite being begged to try it by every coach since I was 8, I never pitched specifically out of fear of comebackers. So being a tall lefty that wasn't particularly fast, the only position I ever played was 1st base. Unfortunately, my worst fear came true when I was 15. It was a Legion Ball tournament and I went in to cover a bunt and this turd kid from Memphis decided to slap it and since I was only like 45 feet away I had zero reaction time and it caught me square in the face. It broke my nose and pushed my lip against one of my teeth so hard that it split my lip on the right side of my mouth in two. Had to have stitches and left behind a pretty nice scar. Surprisingly, as in Mojo's story, it didn't knock any teeth out. One of Ole Miss' softball pitchers took a comebacker right in her face last year. Ended up looking like this:
  8. "As God is my witness, he is broken in half!!!" https://twitter.com/KentMurphy/status/853107125261873153
  9. Some dude who pitched the greatest game in MLB history lol just saw that it's Kerry. Wow. I'm fine with it now. I thought I was listening to someone who is actually a broadcaster.
  10. Proud "father" moment. I used to be an Asst Coach for a Legion ball team and one of my kids, Anthony Alford, just got called up to the Blue Jays due to Pillar being suspended and the injury to Ceciliani. Ya I know, nobody cares, but I'm excited about it.
  11. Maybe other teams don't, I wouldn't know since I don't pay much attention to other teams, but the Saints used theirs for 5 TD's last year.
  12. That really sucks for Freeman. Dude was having an MVPish season.
  13. well, they are incredibly different motions. I could envision a world in which somebody thought he could have an average arm in baseball. but by and large, totally agree. Yeah, I mean, he IS an elite athlete and is incredibly fit. One would naturally assume that he'd at least have an average arm. Too bad he didn't want to play FB in the NFL. He would have wrecked people.
  14. Not sure why anyone who had ever seen Tebow play football thought he'd have an average or above average arm. Dude looked like a punter throwing a pass on a fake punt everytime he threw the football.
  15. Time to shut Baylor down. Good grief. The NCAA says they aren't involved because it doesn't involve extra benefits to the student athletes and should be handled by the law. I would argue that your school covering up your criminal transgressions are a much greater inducement than the proverbial $100 handshake or a free t-shirt or whatever.
  16. Was just messing around on Fangraphs and you know who leads all of baseball in Defensive Runs Saved over the past 10 years? Adrian Beltre. Beltre may have had the most low-key HOF career in history. Dude is going to get 3000 hits and 500 HR and was an elite defensive player. Only three 3B in history with a higher career WAR than him and he'll certainly end up as no.1 or no.2 for third basemen. Imagine if he had played his career in New York or Boston. What kind of baseball deity would he be if that were the case?
  17. that's some rob deer/dave kingman horsefeathers right there. 39 games into the season and literally half his hits are HR. 17 of his 24 hits are XBH
  18. Ump only called it after the Cardinals infielder starting bitching.
  19. Was just going to write something similar. Dude hasn't played baseball in any form in over 10 years and is hitting .250. I'll give him credit. He's a hell of an athlete and this is proof.
  20. Cecil makes 7.5 million a year?? Dude averages like 54 innings a year. That's 138k an inning. Mercy
