Congrats to all the Mizzou fans out there. That was a beat down. Now I get to watch the 'Aints lose today.

My freshman year in college a big fat lefty was up and pulled one uber-fast that hit a yard in front of me at 1st and before I had time to react it slammed right into my cup, but I was fortunate enough to be in such shock that I grabbed the ball and stepped on first. Only afterwards did I slump to my knees and eventually wound up looking like Mojo's sig...I felt like I was going to throw up...CubinNY probably felt 20 times worse, but that was the worst nut pain I ever had. Although a pretty funny thing did happen (other than an 18 year man in tears), the second baseman walked over and shouted in his best "Simpsons" Radioactive Man voice: "AHH!! THE CUP, IT DOES NOTHING!!!"

Well, it's a terrible song with no rhythm for one thing, and then you add in the obvious problems with "well does God bless other countries too or just us?" It's just not a song I like hearing. The history of the song is what I like. Written by Irving Berlin while serving in the first world war and then revived during WWII. It is intentionally lacking in rhythm and thick substance as it is a response to the uber-complex "Star Spangled Banner".

Do you recall if that game was in Mobile? I remember going to the latter half of a really, really long game at Stanky Field a few years back. The lights were on...we were drunk..... It was a home game because I remember going back to my apartment afterwards and telling my girlfriend to leave me alone and not talk to me.
