  1. I'll be shocked if either are correct, but if it helps other by eliminating possibilities...
  2. I don't expect anyone to actually know this one, but perhaps deduction can get someone to figure it out. Although I might have already asked this question on the board before. There were 4 future all-stars (2 perhaps HOF caliber) on Mississippi State's 1985 College World Series team. Who was the cleanup hitter?
  3. Video Link He hit the first ball so hard that Harry could only blurt out "It might be!" before it landed. Oh, and which Cub is that wearing the Top Gun aviators in the dugout?
  4. Beastmaster and Bob are correct.
  5. If it was guaranteed Pie could put up numbers like this, this year, I'd say forget any trade or acquiring a platoon and let the kid play everyday. My Lilly.gif file! I'm glad you have that because I lost the original when my computer crashed.
  6. Ty Cobb and somebody else. Cobb is from the absolute backwaters of Georgia. I seriously doubt anyone else from his hometown even sniffed the majors.
  7. What two players, who have a combined 6188 hits and 3652 rbi, are from the same hometown?
  8. No offense taken from a Rebels fan.
  9. No. 22 Ole Miss beats No.18 Vandy, 74-58 wooohooo. Nice victory for us after getting annihilated by Mississippi State (who got annihilated tonight by Arkansas 78-58)
  10. Yes...I'd like to get premium back as well.

  12. No surprise that the first line on Sportscenter was something to the effect of: "Santana traded to the Mets, how does this effect the Yankees and Red Sox."
  13. Carlos Gomez: 21 year old OF, has hit .278 in 4 years in the minors. Phil Humber: 24 year old P, 18-19, 4.11 ERA in 4 years in the minors....3 year starting pitcher for Rice in college Deolis Guerra: 18 year old SP, 9-14, 3.28 ERA in 2 seasons in the minors Kevin Mulvey: 22 year old SP out of Villenova....12-11, 3.02 ERA in 2 seasons in the minors.
  14. abreu walks a lot more than fukudome, though. i think ray lankford and luis gonzalez in his 30-37 years (minus the one huge year) are good parallels. he'll probably put up billy williams-type numbers, which won't be as impressive as when billy did that, because this is a more offensive era. Looks alot like Hideki Matsui's last few years to me: .295/.371/.485
  15. Why does it seem that way? The Pats, as the home team, get to pick. It just seems like that if a team makes it all the way to the Super Bowl, they should at least be able to pick what uniforms they'd like to wear.
  16. So I know that the Giants are officially the "away" team, but do teams get to pick their jersey's in the Super Bowl? I'd think they should be able to. Seems like the Giants should be wearing their blue tops.

  20. Hideki Matsui's face is the stuff of nightmares. Matsui Does Maddux deliberately try to look like a lost old man in every picture he takes? Maddog
