  1. Haha, Theriot looks like he's ready for a quick-draw competition: http://www.mlb.com/pressbox/photos/headshots_players_coaches/444135_raw.jpg
  2. I believe it was sarcasm aimed at Morgan's delusions of grandeur.
  3. I know that bastard and I wouldn't trust him. I know that guy too, I told him to get in the back and let his wife drive.
  4. Good God, yes. Although I'll never forget my "dollar longneck night" at Coors several years ago. It was an interleague game against the Yankees and Mike Hampton got destroyed (huge shock).
  5. That's certainly a good shot, but my favorite is the one right before it that has Banks, Robinson, Aaron, and Mays. That must be the most total home runs between the participants of any single baseball photo. 512+586+660+755 = 2513 total home runs!
  6. I did have a clip of him ready to go, but forgot to put him in. I also forgot to put in Johnny Bench.
  7. God, I really miss Gracie. Definitely my favorite Cub of all time and such an influence on my life growing up (at least so far as sports is concerned). Oh, and pre-HGH Barroid looks so, so different.
  8. I'm not that sychophantic.... :-) Although they are true legends in my mind, too.
  9. I wanted to include some more modern greats like Maddux, but it's very hard to do. 2 reasons: 1) Hard to find footage on the net of the modern players to use in the video because of MLB's stranglehold on all video. 2) Even if I found some footage and put it in the video, even 5 seconds worth, MLB would pull the entire video off YouTube. Even still, I'm giving my video a 50/50 chance of surviving the month thanks to MLB.
  10. Just finished putting this together and thought I'd share it with you guys to see what you think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUjwX2iTHW8 ....and yes, I know that Joe "I Am the Baseball God" Morgan is in it, but that clip was too good to leave out....he was very, very fast.
  11. Clearly that isn't the only thing, however it does show that Grossman is nearly twice as likely to completely suck ass during a particular ballgame. That's about the same percentage. Besides, 2 INT likely isn't always going to doom your team in a particular game; 3 or 4 picks, and you are pretty much guaranteed a loss. I disagree. I'd like to see the win-loss totals of Manning and Grossman when either of them throw 2 INT's in a game. The winning percentage wouldn't be too good. Grossman: 2 INTs: 2-2 3 INT's: 1-4 4 INT's: 1-0 (the "crown their ass" game) Manning: 2 INT's: 7-8 3 INT's: 1-2 4 INT's: 0-2

  13. I'd still much rather have Eli than Grossman. Manning has had some dreadful games, but nothing approaching the semi-consistent disaster games that Grossman specializes in. In his 60 NFL starts, Manning has had 3 or more INT's in a game 5 times. In his 34 NFL starts, Grossman has done it 6 times.
  14. Doesn't help that his team led the NFL in dropped passes (around 47, IIRC).
  15. It's just an Ole Miss football cheer, gosh.
  16. I don't think so. I think he's finally coming into his own. He's a GOOD QB. The guy got the Ole Miss Rebels into the top 15 for gods sake! That's a Herculean feat in and of itself. Obviously he isn't his brother and never will be, but he's physically more gifted than Peyton is and that's been known for a long, long time. I don't think he's playing that much above his head. He's only 26 years old let's not forget. Look at what Peyton did when he was in his 4th year in the league: 26 TD - 23 INT, 84.1 passer rating. Eli this year: 23 TD - 20 INT, 73.9 passer rating. I'm rooting for him big time not just because he's an Ole Miss guy, but because I want people to get off his ass. Hell, he's only taken his team to the playoffs every year he's been a starter, and has now taken his team to the Super Bowl at 26.
  17. What else would Eli be short for? Only other name I can think of is Elijah. Both are Biblical names, but Elijah is a bit more popular these days. Elijah is just a derivation of Elisha, or vice versa.
  18. What else would Eli be short for? you keep saying that. FTH does it mean?
  19. Giants for the greatest upset in NFL history. HOTTY TODDY!
  20. I've been playing it on Wii lately since they can play gamecube games.
  21. I just know that it was something the Japanese would yell during WWII when they would do human wave charges. Not sure what it means.
  22. RFK Busch II Three Rivers Riverfront Veteran's Astrodome.
  23. BONZAI!! That's all I know.
  24. Hell ya. The DH is like having a "designated free throw shooter" go to the line in basketball every time your bumbling center gets fouled.
