Whoever plays Miss St. tomorrow is going to be at a tremendous disadvantage. They probably won't get in the bed until 3 and then they have to play tomorrow at 3:15.

If I was owner of the Red Sox I'd mandate that it be an official part of the uniform to have the pants rolled up. Also, I'd be kinda cool if the White Sox went back to wearing white socks.

Can't sleep so I decide to read the last 3 or 4 pages of this thread....and wow, it's like reading a foreign language where you only know the basic words like "the", "and", "he", or "they". If I was forced at gunpoint to actually contribute something to this thread, I'd be screwed. I truly know nothing about this sport. I need someone to explain something to me...would a team like Arsenal or Manchester U. ever play a team from another country like Real Madrid or FC Bayern Munchen?

There used to be a lot more pitchers that threw knucklers as a regular pitch in their arsenal. By the time the 80's came along, there was a dogma floating around that said throwing a knuckler in compliment to your regular pitches would screw you up. I'm not sure why or how that got started though, considering the number of pitchers that successfully threw knuckleballs with other pitches in the past. -
Great post. Thanks. I had no idea about some of those rules concerning schemes and stuff since I follow the NBA about as much as the MLS.

I never said once that he can't take a hit or that he is soft. I've seen him take some monster licks before, primarily on returns. My original statement was that he doesn't roll over people very often like a power back would do and isn't breaking ankles with any extraordinary juking ability. His speed is easily his principal asset. Watching him in college he reminded me a TON of Jerious Norwood.

You brought up long runs and whether he broke a tackle or two in those runs. Highlight vids are pretty much nothing but long runs.

I agree, yards after contact would be a great stat to have. But, check out his highlight vids. When he breaks a long run he's usually just flying right past people without so much as a tap from the defenders.
