    I really think a lot of Cabrera's weight gain had to do with his lack of motivation in Florida. Miggy going to Detroit is one case where the old cliche "change of scenery" might actually be true.

    FWIW, Ken Rosenthal was on MLB ON XM today and said that he thinks a deal will get done. He said he also thinks the Cubs will get a right handed centerfielder.

    I think there is a Japanese TV show where they do stupid stuff with guys on a baseball diamond. There is also a video out there where a Japanese pitcher throws a backwards pitch. They must be on the same show.
