Ya, my brother has lived in Denver for about 10 years and I've probably been to about 10-15 games of the Nuggets, so they are the closest thing to an NBA team that I root for. I'm not sure when I started calling them the butt Nuggets, but I have for some time.

The butt Nuggets put up 168 IN REGULATION against the Sonics. GOOD LAWD.

good lord....Georgia is gonna win it all. In 3 days they will have blown past 2 bubble teams (UM and UK) and 2 NCAA teams (MSU and ARK). Crazy because all year they've been considered to be one of the worst, if not THE worst, SEC team.

Ricky Bowen for Mississippi State just took a no hitter into the ninth inning with two outs, and an 0-2 count, and the REBELS get a basehit. WHEW.

Rollins also plays a more valuable position. This is true, but that disparity between winning the MVP and getting 10th place is still huge. -

Yeah. Rollins beating Holliday was some serious east coast bias. ESPN really homered for Rollins the last month of the year. -

probably a tornado, but it can be a severe downdraft (strong winds that get carried down from aloft with the heavy rain), in which case it's just strong winds (which would sound like a tornado). Usually when they do their tornado survey they look for certain signatures in the damage pattern, like things being blown down in a non-uniform pattern. if things are blown down in one line, that's more indicative of straight-line winds. Cool man, thanks.

Still somewhat interesting to me how Granderson basically does the same thing offensively that Jimmy Rollins did last year and he finished 10th in AL MVP voting whilst Rollins won the whole thing in the NL. Was there that big of a disparity between players' seasons in the NL and AL last year? -
Truffle, do you know what it was that hit the Georgia Dome last night? They keep saying "severe storm" but that sounded like a freaking tornado to me.

He's a good to great college player. He's going to get abused in the pros. I think it's safe to say he's a "great" college player...no "good to great" about it. However, I do agree with you regarding the pros. Although I don't know if he'll get abused as some guys who are great in college but suck in the pros (because he does have a lot of size), but he definitely won't be a standout or a starter, that's for sure.
