  1. Saints down 23-20 with 1:55 left....C'mon Drew...PLEASE.
  2. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter?game_id=29714&season=2008&displayPage=tab_gamecenter What the hell? They have P. Burress completing a pass for -20 yds....
  3. If I had a vote, I'd go with Santo and Allen. If Torre had played the majority of his career at catcher, then I'd go with him too. I think a lot of people today who follow baseball don't know what a beast Dick Allen was. A fun fact with Allen: The only Hall of Fame 1st Basemen with a higher career OPS+ than Allen (156) are Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Dan Brouthers, Hank Greenberg, and Johnny Mize.
  4. Agreed. There's plenty of mediocrity in the conference this year. Personally, I think Alabama should fall into that MEH category with the rest of us. They are definitely not as impressive as their record suggests. IMO, Florida is the only standout team.
  5. I don't know if I'd put Kehoe at a head coaching position. He reminds me a bit of Orgeron i.e. good captain, but bad general. One of the names I've seen kicked around this afternoon is Tommy Bowden. I don't suppose that would be a terrible choice.
  6. Plax has lost his mind since signing that contract. He seriously isn't right in the head lately.
  7. Well State needs to find someone quick. They are liable to lose a lot of commits over this thing.
  8. Stinks. I was enjoying watching State stink under him. Question now becomes who are they gonna get. Any SEC head coaching spot is highly coveted.
  9. Ah, OK. Wasn't sure if points put up by teams that beat you makes any difference on that sort of thing.
  10. I'm giving it two hours before Meph comes up with some numbers that claim Florida has dominated five opponents more than Ole Miss dominated today. I dunno, it seems like Ole Miss whipping ass the past couple weeks would be a good thing for Meph's Gators. Wouldn't the Rebs total victory today help Florida in the computer ratings?
  11. Good to see it's now on ESPN. That's why I posted it.
  12. 45-0. I don't know if you can dominate a conference rival any better than what happened today against Mississippi State. Miss St: Rushing: -51 yds Passing: 88 yds UM: Rushing: 218 (2 TD's) Passing: 241 (4 TD's) Defense: 11 sacks
  13. Mississippi State is pathetic. They have -33 rushing yards and 76 passing yards, compared to Ole Miss' 201 rushing (2 TD's) and 226 passing (4 TD's). They've got to fire Croom.
  14. I heard Barry Sanders might retire early
  15. you're not funny
  16. BREAKING NEWS shutup, Ike
  17. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3731656 Looks like Lane Kiffin going to be Tennessee's new coach.
  18. Ole Miss 24, Miss St 0, still in the 1st quarter. Snead is 9/9, 117 YDS, 2 TD so far. This is a rout.
  19. Well hell, looks like Yahoo is broadcasting it for free.
  20. myp2p.eu pathetic, they have a billion games but not the one I need. Damn Denver payperview wants me to shell out 129.00 plus taxes to watch the Egg Bowl.
  21. Does anyone know that website where you can watch any televised sporting event in streaming video?
  22. Orgeron is a terrific captain but a terrible general. Quite the dumbass as a head coach, but he's damn good in other roles and certainly a coach I'd want on my team.
  23. http://www.twincities.com/ci_11075245?source=most_viewed http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20081126/NEWS/81126006 Ouch
  24. To be fair, it is kinda hard for Tennessee to get guys like Oher, Jarmon, and Hardy who are from around the Memphis area. Memphis is about an hour away from Ole Miss, so we get oodles of their talent in football and baseball. What always surprises me is the fact that the state of Mississippi is able to continually field somewhat competitive teams given the number of schools draining players from an already small state population. Only Arkansas has a smaller population among SEC states and yet Mississippi has Ole Miss, Miss State, Southern Miss, and several SWAC schools that often take away good talent. Add onto that the fact that many programs from other states get Mississippi talent.
