  1. You forgot about the "winless in the SEC" part That kinda goes without saying when I listed his only two FBS wins.
  2. Arkansas didn’t even wait til Monday to fire Chad Morris. He was 4-18 at Arkansas with only 2 of those wins being against FBS opponents: Tulsa and Colorado State That’s easily one of the most catastrophic tenures for a head coach in modern history.
  3. crunching the number a little more and murphy eclipses him in just about every offensive category. then again, he did have 2,800 more at-bats than maris. aside: murphy had some wacky l/r splits during his mvp campaigns. Yeah, I certainly wasn't referring to their total careers, just their slash lines and 162 game average. And wow, those L/R splits are crazy. For those who don't want to look it up: 1982 vs RHP: .261/.356/.466 vs LHP: .351/.453/.649 1982 vs RHP: .321/.416/.593 vs LHP: .252/.330.396
  4. Was screwing around BR regarding Murphy to see who else had back to back MVP's and started looking at Maris' page and realized that they were essentially the same dude. Their 162 Game Avg seasons: Maris: 30 HR, 94 RBI, .260/.345/.476 Murph: 30 HR, 94 RBI, .265/.346/.469
  5. Ranked by their WAR Lou Whitaker 75.1 Dwight Evans 67.1 Tommy John 61.5 Ted Simmons 50.3 Dale Murphy 46.5 Thurman Munson 46.1 Dave Parker 40.1 Steve Garvey 38.1 Ranked by HOF Monitor score Steve Garvey 130 Dave Parker 124 Ted Simmons 124 Dale Murphy 116 Tommy John 112 Lou Whitaker 92 Thurman Munson 90 Dwight Evans 70 Hell, all of those people are better than Baines so you may as well put them all in. Personally I'd go with: - Whitaker - bit silly to have Trammel in there and not Whitaker. - Simmons - catcher is the most underrepresented position in the HOF. Simmons played almost 1800 games at catcher, 8 time all-star, 118 OPS+ - Munson - he gets the discount on account of tragedy. I think if you're halfway through a career on a clear path to the HOF and tragedy strikes, then you should be given a pass. He'd have been an easy lock for the HOF if he had survived.
  6. Is it possible to claim that someone who was a 9-time All-Star was underrated? Because when my mind thinks of Beltran my first thought is "underrated". I wonder if that is a symptom of my brain still remembering him being awesome with the Royals in relative obscurity.
  7. How many Bud heavies do you think that human trash had before that tweet? Turd can’t even spell Civil War right.
  8. They watch him more than we do. He’s not been good this year. He’s near the very bottom this year in passer rating.
  9. What in the world is any Saints starter still doing in the game?? They just lost Eli Apple
  10. Boy that was close to being a false start on that bomb to Ginn.
  11. Saints special teams coach must be losing his mind right now. 14 point swing because of his unit.
  12. Who’s worse? Mayfield is really, really bad. Rosen too, although I guess he gets a pass on account of his surrounding cast being so awful.
  13. Saints D was gassed on that drive. Getting out of there just surrendering a FG was a good outcome for the Saints.
  14. Wowza. Patterson has been doing that for a while now.
  15. Getting out of that with a safety was one hell of a victory for the Bears
  16. Nationals really are doing the Lord’s work. Putting out the Brewers, Dodgers, and Cardinals. It’s magnificent.
  17. F the Dodgers. This is glorious
  18. Bearcats with an all-time great troll job
  19. Yes I’d like for him to get a serious look.
