  1. Only 6 more to break the modern record. Helton had 59 in 2000. BDN would have 70 in a season if he played half his games in Coors.
  2. Nick has an outside shot at the modern record. It’s 59 in 2000 by Helton. 52 now

  4. The romance is found in the traditions such as the uniforms and the mascots and the songs. Romanticizing the sport because it is played by “student-athletes” was gone by the wayside long ago because everyone knows that the best players already get paid.
  5. For those wondering
  6. Shocked that kid who grew up rich would have such a crap take.
  7. with the expansion aren't there like 87 OTHER pitchers in the bullpen to replace Cishek with?
  8. Give CB a gold watch, a pat on the back, and send that loser to the retirement castle.
  9. http://pa1.narvii.com/6477/8b28e9c0714da76a31dac33a417d34b8e7bb3cb5_hq.gif It's like poetry; it rhymes
  10. well done, Mojo
  11. Univ of Louisiana-Monroe shanked an extra point to lose in OT at Florida State. FSU is just awful.
  12. Yeah, that was shocking. So dumb. Also, that targeting call was ridiculous. The runner ran into the defenders helmet. They absolutely didn’t apply the new “intent” element of the rule.
  13. Next head coach at USC
  14. So Hugh Freeze has upgraded from coaching in a gurney to coaching in a dentist's chair. What a hack.
  15. IF actual games don’t start soon this thread is going to be even more obnoxious than I’ve already made it
  16. If he’s put on the 53 after his suspension then clearly they have a reason for doing so. They have literally nothing invested him and he’s not a Taysom Hill type QB who can do other things like run the wildcat or return kicks, so what’s the point of him being on the 53 if they don’t see him fitting in somehow either this season or in the future? You keep saying this, but he's not on the 53. Literally the very first word of my post was “IF”

  18. Walker already re-signed to be their practice squad QB. Given his performance this preseason most don’t think Kelly would clear waivers if put on the PS
  19. They like him enough for him to be on the 53 when he comes back from suspension. Keeping 3 QB's on an active roster is rare. He's going to play this year. On the other hand, I'm not sure if Hoyer is actually coming in to play; he's coming in to hold a clipboard and mentor Brissett and Kelly. Being Brady's backup for 4 or 5 years has surely taught him some things he can pass onto the younger guys. So, 9 million to be a second QB coach? Is that more likely than the fact they don’t like Kelly as much as you seem to? If they didn't like Kelly quite a lot they'd have cut him or put him on the PS, and they certainly wouldn't waste a spot on the 53 with him. This isn't complicated. On paper Brissett is the starter, Hoyer is the backup, and Kelly the third. However, I suspect you may actually see Kelly be the guy to go in if Brissett gets hurt or stinks. Go check out a Colts message board. That's what the majority of them think this morning as well.
