  1. I think ND would get whipped
  2. I'm looking forward to the one post game thread eventually this season.
  3. I never said he was a role model. I already stated that he was a mercenary. Furthermore, if you read SI's latest article about him, it explains that his "convictions" weren't really what they seemed. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/football/ncaa/07/27/masoli/index.html but of course, more toward your line of thinking (which I'm not saying is incorrect of course) http://ncaafootball.fanhouse.com/2010/07/30/jeremiah-masoli-a-rebels-naked-hypocrisy-at-ole-miss/?ncid=edlinkusspor00000003
  4. Houston Nutt's offense is perfect for him though. Nutt is generally given credit for bringing the wildcat offense to the mainstream and that is what he would prefer to run all the time if it were up to him I'd think. Furthermore, the Rebels got the top rated JUCO QB in the country last year, Randall Mackey, who is an ultimate wildcat QB with his 4.5 speed. I think Nutt is going to have a lot of fun drawing up plays for both of those guys. Masoli is a terrific fit imo.
  5. Masoli is going to make a huge difference in Ole Miss' season. Snead leaving early left the QB situation in a lurch with Nathan Stanley being the only viable option. The players are apparently big fans of Stanley and he seems to have a very strong arm, but he's about as green as it gets for an SEC starting QB with perhaps only a dozen snaps in game action. Also, I'm glad to see he is handling this Masoli thing with a lot of grace, which I suppose makes sense because he wasn't supposed to be starting this year anyways (most figured Snead was coming back). Masoli is pretty much a one year mercenary, but he is really going to help. I'm predicting they go from a 6-7 win team to an 8 win team and maybe even 9.
  6. I could care less about a bb/k ratio on a guy hitting .321/.350/.554, 130 OPS+, 21 HR, 68 RBI, 15 SB and a Gold Glove caliber defense. His home/road splits are simply atrocious though.
  7. Cargo is just so so so so so so good That ball was as scorched as you'll ever see
  8. Jevan Snead cut by the Bucs.....what a fall.
  9. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/catalyst
  10. For those who missed it: Rockies scored 12 runs in the 8th Sent 18 batters to the plate Had 11 straight hits Sent 14 men to the plate with 2 outs When the inning ended Clint Barmes was on deck. If he had come up, it would have been his THIRD at bat in the inning. BLOW THIS TEAM UP, PLZ
  11. 17 hitters in one inning. this is hilarious Barmes in the hole. If he comes up it'd be his 3rd AB in the inning.
  12. I'd pillow smother my girl to see Tulo get a hit here
  13. Fontenot sighting. quick someone take a cast of his footprint.
  14. year of the pitcher continues. what is that, like 18 this year or something?
  15. Looks like Jeremiah Masoli is going to be at Ole Miss in the fall to complete his last year of eligibility. Not sure how I feel about it. On the one hand, I'm not a fan of guys on the team with those types of character issues. However, I don't think our staff was expecting Jevan Snead to leave, so Ole Miss has no QB with any experience right now. We still have an exceptional defense, but with the loss of McCluster and a veteran QB (albeit a sketchy one like Snead), the offense sure could use a boost with Masoli. Nutt has done good things with this program so far, so I think I'll trust in whatever decision he makes at this point.
  16. In one of those Sports Illustrated player polls they asked MLB players: "who is the most overrated player" and he was like 4th on there.
  17. Buzz Aldrin exactly. Third guy on the moon is the much better question.
  18. hitting 600 is like turning 20. It was cool when you turned 18 (500) and it will be badass when you turn 21 (passing Ruth, Aaron, Bonds), but for now....it's "eh, congrats...I guess".
  19. In Jiminez' only loss he gave up 1 run
  20. Wow, Hollandsworth is one of the worst ever
