  2. arod got paid 124,378 for every hit he had in 2001 Yeah well he had an 8.3 WAR that year
  3. Did some quick math and we paid Fukudome $111,100 for every hit he had.

  7. He's the deluxe version of what Randall Simon meant to the 2003 Cubs. Enough left handed bat to be useful, but zero or negative defensive value pretty much everywhere that confines him to 'platoon at best on a strong team' status. Was his nosedive into oblivion due to injury or standard badness? Coghlan had to have knee surgery after he threw a pie in a guys face after a game back in 2010 and missed a lot of the year. No joke. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5412671 Although he was already kinda sucking at that point.
  8. Deutschland Uber Alles! I imagine that guy will never have a problem getting laid for the rest of his life.
  9. Carlos Gomez fail http://mlb.mlb.com/images/1/9/0/84499190/Gomezbat1_8p7mrsrn.gif
  10. A 5-8 force out. Would love to see how infrequently that has ever happened in the game's history
  11. self employed so I wear whatever I feel like unless I'm meeting with a client or in court.
  12. Yeah, because he turned out to be a toolbag, but mainly because he was so damn boring. It's like having your pick of awesome cars and then picking a Volvo for the safety rating (so long as Grace isn't driving). Well if I was growing up trying to become a Volvo, then I'd pick the Volvo. As a lefty first baseman growing up, he had my dream job.
  13. i knew you'd have some lame ass answer like grace or sandberg smh Yeah what a dumb little kid I was... Well, yeah...Shawon Dunston was my favorite player when I was a little kid and I thought there wasn't anyone better, but he's not going to still be my pick at [expletive] 35. Well good for you. I never liked a Cubs player as much as I liked Mark Grace growing up. So if you were to add up my nostalgic fondness for individual Cubs players, then Grace would be at the top, therefore he remains my all-time favorite. As a kid growing up playing baseball, he meant a great deal to me. Don't see why that is such a "lame answer". He was a damn good player for his entire career with the Cubs. Realizing now what a toolbag he is in his personal life doesn't negate the fact that I adored the guy as a kid and doesn't erase the impact he had on me. As an adult, Aramis has been my favorite player fwiw
  14. Brazil, this is what the 8th inning of the NLCS felt like for us.

  18. Damnit Kendall, you know we don't like being called 'Mississippi'.
  19. Hope so. Screw football, the kid needs major life help.
  20. Have you looked at what Alcantara has done in half a season at AAA? 10 hr, 23 doubles and 11 triples. Two years older, two levels higher. Yeah, we're loaded. http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/af148/djensen04/jizz-in-my-pants.gif
  21. If true then that means that the A's top three prospects are Cubbies
  22. Def looks like Tejada. I thought the same thing. And gosh he is very fast
  23. I prefer the idea of him at third, Russell at SS, and Baez at 2nd. And with Rizzo at first...Sweet [expletive] Allah, what an infield I think of that infield shuffle, Baez goes to 3B because, as I understand it, he has the strongest arm of the three. Castro at 2B makes more sense than Castro at 3B to me. Regardless, the infield is stupid awesome no matter how you shuffle them Well, cheers to that as well!
