  1. Rockies all have their pants rolled up. A+ for effort.
  2. Nolan Ryan was only an All-Star 8 times. I know that's a ton, but in a 27 year career I figured he would have had more, him being a name and all that.
  3. Not sure if you watched the game last year against Miss St but y'all would have won it if not for a shoe string tackle made by a Bulldog safety during Kentucky's last possession.
  4. Unfortunately, yes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mariotti_Show
  5. oh sweet baby jesus, the douche chills...
  6. We always play well in Red Stick. I'm sure the Tigers defense will be tough as usual but they lost a ton on offense losing Mett, Hill, Landry, Beckham, and others. I think we should be able to outscore them.
  7. I'm really looking forward to having both Auburn and Alabama at home this year. When Alabama comes to Oxford, if you go by chalk, then Ole Miss will be 4-0 and Bama will be 3-0. If that happens then the Rebels will probably be ranked 12-15ish and Bama will be somewhere in the top 10 or more likely top 5. Most people are anticipating that College Gameday will be in the Grove that weekend. The producers of Gameday have long stated that they want to do a game from Ole Miss but have just never had the right draw for it. It looks as though they'll finally get it this year. The place will be a madhouse. Some people are dissing on Alabama because they have a guy starting for the first time at QB, Jacob Coker. I just don't see it being that huge of a detriment. Alabama QB's the last decade have all legitimately been just game managers are they still win 11 games a year. Don't see it being any different with Coker, who is actually more mobile than any of the last few cement-footed Bama QB's.
  8. I am not in Arkansas to hear the talk radio goons, but the general consensus I think is that he should STFU. You can be an ass if you are winning, but another O for conference play will give the fans who already dislike him a reason to go after him. Bue the SEC is where the winners are! Winners like, oh wait winners like 7 of the last 8 years whilst your conference has 1 win in the last 15 years.
  9. You are probably right. I think a 2-2 split in those games is completely reasonable. If Ole Miss is ever going to win the West this is the year to do it. However, being Ole Miss they will probably go 6-6 with a home loss to those chumps from Starkville. Oh and while we are talking about them, they are running a "Dak Prescott for Heisman" campaign which is completely laughable. Yeah his 10 TD and 7 INT season from last year is really worthy of potential consideration this year. I'll say this, if Eli Manning couldn't win the Heisman, then no QB from one of the Mississippi schools will ever win it.
  10. Creepy Marlins kid
  11. They won last year solely by their offensive prowess. 7 teams scored over 30 points against them and 4 teams scored over 40. Losing Manziel and Evans...that offense is gonna be hard pressed to outscore anyone with their atrocious defense.
  12. I don't think it's out of the question for the Rebels to win 10 games this year. Although realistically I see 9-3. Regardless, this is how they can get 10 wins. -Boise State - W (certainly not what they used to be. Their 5 offensive linemen have never started a game before. Our A+ d-line should eat them alive) -@Vandy - W (should be dreadful this year. All they had last year was Jordan Matthews and he's gone. So is Carta-Samuels) -La-Lafayette - W -Memphis - W -Bama - L (we've beaten them once in the past like 15 years so I don't see that changing) -@Texas A&M - W (the Rebels would have beaten them handily the past two years had it none been for Manziel. Lost by a field goal the past two years). -Tennessee - W (should be good next season with all the new recruits beginning to come in and get older, but I don't think you are there yet.) -@LSU - W (we have their number more than any other school and their QB situation is completely up in the air. I'll take our defense against a freshman QB any day of the year.) -Auburn - L (this could go either way. I don't think Auburn was nearly as good as they seemed to be last year. Very lucky team. And losing Tre Mason is a major, major blow. His importance to that team last year cannot be overstated. Also, Carl Lawson is out for the year with ACL. But I can't imagine the Rebels winning 11 games, so I'm gonna go with loss.) -Presbyterian - errr...W -@Arkansas - W (they might win one SEC game this year, but it won't be against us) -Miss. St - W (home team almost always wins these games. It's like clockwork)
  13. Good heavens no. The only player they had that was drafted was WR Donte Moncrief. This year all those monsters they had in that giant recruiting class are now sophomores such as Laquon Treadwell and Robert Nkemdiche. Their 1st team All-American safety Cody Prewitt is back as well. But perhaps most important for Ole Miss is that they have the most seasoned QB currently playing in the SEC with Bo Wallace, who, by all reports is finally over the shoulder injury he suffered early in the season two years ago against Tulane, but always played through it. Basically Ole Miss has had Wallace at 60-70% his whole career and yet he still ranks second behind Eli Manning in most every Ole Miss QB record. So a lot of the buzz around Ole Miss this year has to do with the fact that they have a healthy Wallace for the first time coupled with the fact that he is a 3rd year starter.
  14. even I didn't understand what that guy was saying. That dude is...wow...way to play to the stereotype there, champ. Yeah he sounds nothing like the people I've met from Mississippi. Hilarious. 90% of the people I know from here sound nothing like that. Granted, I don't hang out with hicks and I'm educated. Nevertheless, I can accept your post as sarcasm, which it obviously is, or as being a sincere statement because I don't encounter people of that hickish magnitude too often.

  16. The previous administration really knew how to pick those first rounders didn't they? I guess we do have them to thank for Baez though.
  17. Him and Jackson can have a strikeout competition in AAA the rest of the year Holy crap just looked up Jackson's stats. He has completely forgotten how to play ball the last two years. Can they just cut him already?
  18. Sharpies? On a baseball? Should rethink that.
  19. Aaron Hill hit 36 HR in 2009. About as suspect as when Jay Bell hit 38 one year.
  20. All I really remember about Buechelle is him having like a 17 pitch at bat.
  21. Coghlan deserved a better result on that last at bat. That was crushed 400 feet.
  22. What about the dude that faked his own death on the cubs.com forum? GTGaskar or something like that.
  23. We used to have NSBB AIM chat rooms for Cubs games. I miss those days.
