They don't win either of the Ole Miss games the past two years without JFF, they don't beat Bama in 2012 without him, they don't beat LA Tech in 2012 without him, don't beat Duke last year without him, probably don't beat Miss St. last year without him either. Their 10-2 regular season record in 2012 would have been 7-5 without Manziel.

As much as I'm down on the Saints right now, their two losses were both on the last possession of away games. The season is still salvageable. They've lost 5 home games in the last 5 years under Payton and two of those were final games of the year when Brees didn't even play, so I don't think it's inconceivable that they go 8-0 at home this year. If they then go 2-4 on the road that'll end up being 10-6. Can't figure out the defense though. They've added Jairus Byrd and have actually regressed somehow.

Meanwhile my team has to play four Top 10 teams in a five week span. that's because everyone in the SEC is given a top 10 ranking by virtue of being an SEC team. Certainly. The league will likely cannibalize itself to such an extent this year that a 2 loss team will win the SEC. When that occurs they might be on the outside of the playoff, which will then force Mike Slive to lose his isht and they'll expand (and rightfully so) the playoff to 8 teams. Can y'all imagine the obnoxious debate that is going to occur about who is the 4th team in? I think we can all rest easy knowing that FSU, OU, and Oregon will win their crappy conferences, but what about number four? Good lord that's gonna be some obnoxious debate for the talking heads.

5 teams in the the Top 10 AP are SEC West schools. Wonder if that's unprecedented? Not only are half the teams in top 10 from same conference but from same division. That's crazy.

Jeez. Just saw the pics. Ya that's definitely felony level abuse. I was spanked lots as a kid and even with switches, but I never had marks like that. AD is a freaking a-hole. Sicko.

My grandmother used to make me go pick a switch in the backyard. Fun times. He must have really worn the child out because for felony child abuse (at least in my experience) you have to inflict serious bodily harm that creates a substantial risk of death or disfigurement or causes hospitalization. There is also a mental injury component too. Perhaps it's different in Texas.

Ugly scene. There was a dugout clearing because the next pitch was up and in and hit Reed Johnson in the hand. Casey McGeeheeeeee acted a turd and ran out and start yelling at the pitcher. Another player for the Marlins straight up shoved the home plate ump in the chest.

One of the craziest things about the whole "investigation" is that Goodell met with Rice and his wife....at the same time! Yeah, you always want to hear from the victim of abuse while their abuser is sitting right next to them. Jesus.

Texas losing 34-7 to BYU at home. I kinda don't think Charlie Strong is the answer.

Arkansas 56-0 at half against Nichols. 326 yards rushing. Their QB is 3 for 5 with 3 TD's.

I don't know. Vandy looks bad this year, and I have to think Ole Miss will come out with a vengeance after the slow start against Boise last week. I think they may run up the score. Yeah, well Vandy always worries me, even when they really suck. For some reason they have us pegged as a rival and ALWAYS play us close. However, they appear to be really, really, really bad this year.
