  1. Perhaps this belongs in the soccer thread...
  2. Hugh Freeze is really starting to piss me and a lot of other people off with his uber-conservative "play not to lose" mindset. At a certain point you have to open your offense up and score points. Instead, as everyone saw last night he still runs the ball right up the middle on first down with our tiny scat backs. Half the damn offensive series had a 2nd and 12 or 2nd and 13.
  3. Nice one, Hugh. Glad I paid legal tender to watch him brain fart like that.
  4. It's Sullivan, so I'm not sure if he is trying to be clever or if he actually just doesn't realize that it's "moot".
  5. Unfortunately I don't think that'll happen. The Rebels will trip up at least once (although it's really, really hard to score against that defense, so maybe they won't trip up) and I'm having a hard time imagining Mississippi State winning in Tuscaloosa. At this point, I think the playoff will be FSU Oregon SEC West winner (one loss Ole Miss because of tie-break over Bama) SEC West one-loss team (Bama)
  6. Damn your eyes. The kiss of death. I know you did that just to spite me...
  7. http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/sec-football/video-tennessee-coach-tries-trip-senquez-golson/ Tennessee coach or GA tries to trip Senquez Golson after one of his interceptions. By the way, Golson is an interesting figure, his 7 int's in 7 games is second in FBS and leads SEC in passes defended. He passed up an alleged high six or love seven-figure number from the Red Sox who wanted to draft him (I think in the second round) back in 2011 and opted instead to play football. That decision might be looking to pay off this year. Although his height, just 5'9, surely knocks him down draft boards. However, dude can certainly jump, as was seen by him leaping above 6'6 O.J. Howard to make that last second pick against Alabama. http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/2c81e4b839ea3d76a5ce37eb028983727893f9ce/c=103-0-2929-2124&r=x404&c=534x401/local/-/media/JacksonMS/OleMissSports/2014/10/04/1412476306000-tcl-6hbzal719x31ckt1t81j-original.jpg
  8. Those games are generally always close affairs. Ole Miss, even when not good at all, usually gives high ranked LSU all they are worth. The script is flipped this year. I'm terrified of this game. However, LSU is mostly a one trick pony offensively this year. They are 11th in SEC in passing and therefore rely on the run. Ole Miss has the sixth ranked rush defense in the nation (as evidenced by Tenn getting 0 rushing yards on 28 attempts). Nevertheless, this WILL be a close one. However, the Rebs have covered the spread in every game this year, so there's that.
  9. They could have if Saban had wanted to.
  10. .gif I made years ago for Saints v. Lions http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/SaintsGifs/indy.gif
  11. Wow... That would be something to see.
  12. I hate to even say it, but Ole Miss has the better shot at undefeated or being a 1 loss team than Miss St. They still have to play at Bama and at Ole Miss. Our road games are very winnable at LSU and Arkansas.
  13. If both Mississippi teams were undefeated, they're both in regardless of what happens from there. Also, I would like OMC to somehow live stream the entire day in Oxford if that happens. I still expect both schools to frak it up and each have two losses by the Egg Bowl, but assuming they both keep winning, I've no doubt college Gameday would be back there. I'm just super glad it's a home game for the Rebs.
  14. Heard Chattanooga had six sacks against UT. Saturday could definitely be a long day for their QB. Ole Miss fans absolutely aren't overlooking this game though. Tennessee is young but definitely talented. I'm nervous.
  15. @CFBMatrixMag: Mississippi State has accomplished the quickest rise from an unranked team to No. 1 in the 78-year history of the AP poll.
  16. Can Ole Miss and Mississippi State leapfrog FSU? They should.
  17. Rawaction's boy with the long pick six
  18. There would be fatalities in this state if that happened. It's a really, really ugly rivalry but it was never of any real consequence. If it actually meant something...watch out.
  19. Hard to believe people still blindly make this argument. Hard to believe the SEC nuts still can't fathom the concept of a team not in the SEC actually being good. No we do, just not Notre Dame.
  20. Was thinking it had been a while since there was some blatant SEC snobbery in the thread. Our high ranked teams wouldn't be squeaking out a win against UNC, the same team that gave up 29 to Liberty. Or losing at home to Indiana. Of course, they wouldn't be playing UNC or Indiana, since the schedule is too full with Memphis and Florida Atlantic. Even still, our SOS is 55 spots higher than ND's.
  21. Serious bad feeling about A&M. Ole Miss hates its own prosperity. No way they win this game.
  22. This game was like the Universe righting itself. All the luck Auburn had last year transferred to Mississippi State. God has officially abandoned them.
  23. Was thinking it had been a while since there was some blatant SEC snobbery in the thread. Our high ranked teams wouldn't be squeaking out a win against UNC, the same team that gave up 29 to Liberty.
  24. Huge shock, the Irish aren't good. Congrats to FSU for not having to play a single decent team all season.
  25. Auburn has run 2 plays, both turnovers, both resulted in 14 points. Ouch.
