  1. Post some food, it's cathartic. Anyone else love Greek food? Is that place in North Dakota? I would love to find a GOOD gyro here in Chicago. I hope I never eat another Kronos again. gyros on the spit? greek islands? those are two spots i know of that make their own gyros...no kronos [expletive]. you could add the parthenon, too.
  2. most enjoyable home run derby in years.
  3. You all can thank me since I was in attendance.
  4. i'll be at the game this evening. the cubs went 0-4 last year when i was in attendance...hope to break that streak tonight!

  8. those jerseys are hideous. they look like clothing you would buy at value city.
  9. Are you [expletive] kidding me? That was fantastic. damn straight.
  10. so sports illustrated had its first ever HACKATHON challenge over the weekend in NYC and my friend's team won the inaugural event. the team he was a part of spent 24 hours programming and analyzing sports statistics with the goal of creating a "clutch rating" for athletes: http://www.si.com/more-sports/2015/05/19/sports-illustrated-hackathon-clutch-sports-statistics they completed one for football: http://clutchratings.com/ a little more about what they created: http://challengepost.com/software/clutch-ratings i asked him if they're working on one for baseball and he said yes. i'm sure all the cardinals players will be at the top of the list.
  11. the idea of rizzo possibly being a 30/30 guy...
  12. the best place for handmade noodles and dumplings in NYC chinatown: http://www.yelp.com/biz/lam-zhou-handmade-noodle-new-york-2 they used to sell 12 dumplings (fried or boiled) for $3. 10 for $3.50 these days, but my god... JUST HOOK IT TO MY VEINS!
  13. shark got into it with someone, too. aside: forgot that geovany soto is on the white sox these days.
  14. watching this on mlb.tv and i have no idea what the hell happened. it was just a one hopper up the middle and ventura went apeshit.
  15. you mean jose veras?
  16. the livejournal entries from the 2004 cubs season are great for a laugh.
  17. espn.com. back in those days, you had davemason and andytheclown stirring [expletive] left and right.
  18. agreed. that's a whole other level of stupidity.
  19. hundley and grace's douchebag tendencies aren't even a drop in the bucket compared to domestic abuse and being a sexual predator. i'll take slumpbusting and being in a drunken stupor/going missing in action for a week over what hall and bradley have done with themselves.

  21. I originally planned to go to a Chicago sports bar in Bay Ridge, but the girlfriend is a bit under the weather. I'll be making burgers and fries at our apartment instead and watching the game on either the ESPN3 app or MLB.TV.
