  1. Actually reason #2 is why I would not mind seeing Pearl get the job. It would be nice to see a totally different style of basketball at IU.
  2. Please anyone but Alford.
  3. Was just looking at some his stats at the age of 40 with the Cubs 47 steals 4 caught stealing.
  4. I always liked Lopes I remember him as maybe the best base stealer and all around base runner I have seen.
  5. This will be the year we have a Cubs Sox World Series.
  6. Yes blogs do not lose money and some even make money.
  7. And again I ask, where are these rankings? I'm curious if they are fantasy rankings, pre-season rankings, somthing based on projections for 2008. All I want to know is where you're seeing these rankings. I'm not questioning that you saw them, I'd just like to know where. That would allow me to judge the validity for myself. Elias has has Roberts fifth in their rankings. I have no idea how they do their rankings though just stumbled accrossed them. Chase Utley, Robinson Cano, Placido Polanco, Orlando Hudson then Brian Roberts. http://www.sportscity.com/MLB/Elias-MLB-Rankings-2B-3B-SS/ The list includes ss and 3b so you have weed through them.

    The NBA thread

Ah, but only a year ago I argued he couldn't hold Deron Williams' jock and was laughed at for it. I would say the biggest difference between Williams and Hinrich is strength though not athletic ability. I am not saying that Williams is not a better athlete just that his strength is what really sets apart from almost all other point guards.
  9. Looks like Moss may have some distractions this week. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3199471
  10. Looks like this delay is not good news for those who will testify. This from Lester Munson. Funny thing is if Clemens would have just kept his mouth shut this would have never happened. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=munson_lester&id=3189255
  11. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3188417
  12. Tellander was just on the score with Mully and Handley. While on the surface what he did seems stupid I thought he defended himself fairly well but I still think he should have voted. It is up on The Scores front page now. He also rips Mike North which was great. http://www.670thescore.com/
  13. This is easy Bill Murray. http://youtube.com/watch?v=shnf3T8FTmc
  14. In case you missed it here the video of Darell Reid destroying Chris Henry I can't remember ever seeing a bigger hit. http://youtube.com/watch?v=FFxNfICa2xM
  15. Dan Bernstein interviewed Prior today on The Dan Patrick show. http://www.670thescore.com/ The link to listen to it is on there front page.
  16. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3168534 I believe Roger Clemens. But what do I know, I also believe in Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and the Chicago Cubs. You had me until you mentioned the Chicago Cubs.

  18. Do you think this guy gets in http://images17.fotki.com/v9/photos/4/41654/190291/mcgriff-th.jpg .284 .377 .509 134 and 493 career home runs I think ten years ago those numbers would have got him in now I don't think they will. If McGriff was clean all those years then he might lose out on the HOF. If I were a player who played through this era and was clean I be pissed. Thats why I do not like the everyone was doing it so vote on the best players no matter what because everyone was doing Peds and the guys( even if they were the minority) who were clean get the shaft.
  19. He also talked about possible tampering from another team with Prior that could net the Cubs 3mill. I missed most what he was saying I assume the team was the Padres. Did anyone else hear this who could fill in some the details. Also like this show much more before Coppock became part the show.
  20. While I was rooting for the Ravens Don Shula in the booth made me want to root for the Patriots.
  21. Wow unbelievable wow.
  22. Looks like the Red Sox are willing to trade Ellsbury now. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3138088
  23. Looks like Andy Pettitte has decided to pitch at least one more year. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3139152
  24. I found the Lou quote I was thinking of: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4155/is_20070526/ai_n19179908
  25. I'm well beyond amazement and into infuriated now. I think I remember Lou saying that one things he wanted was a left handed bat he could leave in the middle of the line up against lefties. He seemed to think one the Cubs problems against lefties were to many right-handed batters in a row. The theory being it allows the pitcher to get to comfortable throwing to that many righties in row and get in a groove. Does anyone know if there is anything to Lou’s mad little theory. That's a really bogus excuse. And nothing like babying the Cubs hitters: "It's not that you're impatient, it's just that we have too many righties in a row!" This is borderline Dusty crap and I'm sick of it. I thought Lou was gonna kick their free-swinging asses and instead he's placating them. I am confused how Lou is saying he would like a lefty who can hit left-handed pitching in the middle of the line up giving hitters an excuse for not being patient.
