  1. thats the deal that MSU made with Boise...that must be below the OSU standard
  2. Yes, this will definitely happen. fine with me as long as it means he's playing 1B there and pujols is playing 1B for us. If Pujols were to play for us, the St. Lou folks backlash would probably rival that of Clevelands for LaBron. That would be awesome
  3. I know its not a great comparison, but what is the record of the top 6 teams in the Big Ten against everyone else, or what is the record of the top 6 teams in the Pac Ten verse everyone else?
  4. because MSU has been very unimpressive lately
  5. that you know about or overall? i am probably missing something obvious, but what happened?
  6. No one was really upset that GameDay didn't come to College Station. I was disappointed with the decision and hoped they would choose a better matchup instead of picking a game simply because of the venue. And just because a game is low scoring, doesn't mean it is a bad or boring game. It's like a 1-0 pitcher's duel in baseball. Both defenses were outstanding last night. It's not like either team has a crappy offense. As for the Brothers Pelini, they are both classless jerks. Bo got an unsportsmanlike flag for one extended tirade on an official and his team had about 6 or 7 personal fouls on the night. The last roughing the passer that gave us the first down on what turned out to be the game winning drive was a terrible call. He has every right to be pissed about that one. But pretty much every other penalty was legit. I know the guy that was attacked by Carl Pelini. Here is his statement on the confrontation: I sometimes wonder about coaches who get on the refs all the time. I would think that sometimes it works in their favor in the squeaky wheel gets the grease kind of way. I have also seen times that I think refs make an extra effort to find penalties against teams that have coaches that constantly complain. I coach a much lower level of FB and have found a couple of times that I think we were rewarded by refs because the opposing coaches were obnoxious.
  7. in the video the illinois player did have his hand on the facemask and Thomas does kind of look like his body gets turned. I dont think the video shows that there was or wasnt a facemask...I am just saying that the fans who were closest to the play seemed to think it may have been a facemask and didnt really get to worked up about if he was down or not. that's irrelevant what they thought before the replay. what did they think after they saw the replay? the replay also very clearly shows that there was no facemask and that the hand involved in the play was slapping the ball out. if he was carrying the ball between his facemask and his face, it could have been a penalty, i admit. I dont think Memorial Stadium had that great of a replay screen then and probably didnt have that last angle that clearly showed the fumble before the knee was down.

  9. here are a couple of those calls. The ATrain fumble happened right in front of us. we were in the horseshoe in that corner. Everyone, including all the Illinois fans, thought it was a facemask.
  10. Here it is Where he learned it from http://www.everydayshouldbesaturday.com/2006/10/02/my-thats-disturbing-the-aggie-squeeze/ 83, just because you look like the gimp you dont have to play like the gimp...dont just let him lay on the ball and recover that fumble, get in there and give him the GOURMET SHOT,Be a Bad Motha
  11. it was. Hawks played real well
  12. my guess is that it is less likely
  13. Once the Hawks got up by 3, the refs were calling the Canucks for looking at the Hawks. It was kind of funny. I guess that's what you get when you have a rep for thugging it up once your behind.
  14. no, that was illinois-michigan 2000 when a-train kept fumbling and they kept ruling him down and illinois kept not fumbling and they kept ruling that they had fumbled. sorry sulley, no one gives a rip about Illinois. Now when Penn St, Michigan and OSU start losing games with some questionable reffing, thats when things change say what you want but it was a national game and a complete embarrassment for the referees and the big ten. they kept showing the replays over and over and over. i'm not saying it was the only reason, but it was a contributing factor, li'l ol' U of I or not. This may be true, but there was going to be no replay until Paterno and Carr got behind it. Once those 2 did, it was in place within a couple of years

  16. Does Pelini do this every game or was it worse this game? I didnt watch a lot of the game, but it was a very questionable roughing the QB call that lead to aTm getting their game winning fg. I agree that Paterno and Carr were very key figures in getting instant replay in Big Ten FB...truth is it would not have happened without Michigan, Penn St and Ohio St wanting it
  17. only once, to bitch about two important calls in overtime, both of which were obviously wrong. not to complain that his team was getting jobbed by penalties. plus pelini does throughout the entire game. he's a complete turd. calm down...someone was mocking Pelini for going after the refs after the game, I was just mentioning that Joe Paterno has done it also. My guess is that other coaches have done it also. Head coaches being on the refs during the game is standard. What makes Peline worse then other coaches complaining to refs?
  18. please tell me you did not just compare joe paterno to [expletive] bo pelini. not really...but JoePa has chased down a ref after a game at least once.
  19. The [expletive] has been running up and down the sideline, getting in refs faces, poking them in the chest, etc. etc. all game long. He's a clown. And an ultra-classy move to yell at the officials after the game. Way to go, Bo. reminds me of the ultra classy Joe Paterno
  20. They did beat Wisconsin
  21. not this guy again, is it No but I think that dude is there too actually. He's right next to the dude I'm talking about. What is worse is those guys look to be about 50. When do you get too old for that kind of stuff
  22. that was a very bad PI call
  23. you do know that MSU had twice as much total yards as Wisky when they played....maybe Purdue didnt melt down as much as MSU just finally started playing better Or it was just a terrible meltdown by Purdue. you are probably right
  24. what is even more funny is the 4 pages of discussion about him
  25. you do know that MSU had twice as much total yards as Wisky when they played....maybe Purdue didnt melt down as much as MSU just finally started playing better
