if the calls go nearly 2 to 1 against us like they did in the montreal series, there's no way we beat pittsburgh. we beat montreal because biron played very well and their goalies were pretty lousy. there are no signs that fleury will crack like price did. i hope it is a good series (likely) with good officiating (highly unlikely). i'm much less optimistic about our chances than i was the year that we lost to tampa in 7 games in the e.c. finals. and i don't even want to get into the 2000 e.c. finals, that still burns as bad as the cubs' 2003 flame out. 2 Things. Both Anehiem and San Jose are better teams than Pittsburgh. Dallas beat both of them. If Pittsburgh plays Detroit, I am sure that Crosby and Malkin will see plenty of Lidstrom, Rafalski, Datsyuk and Zetterberg. Will they have the puck enough to score? So I certainly wouldnt give Pittsburgh the Stanley Cup just yet. Also Biron has been really good. Truffle I didnt watch the whole series between Montreal and the Flyers, but what I saw I would say the officiating wasnt that bad. Not any worse than any other series that I watched. It usually ends up going both ways also. Overall I think NHL officiating isnt very good, especially in the playoffs where they change the rules. But I dont think its any worse for the Flyers than anyone else.
