  1. If you ask the locals, they would probably say when Bear Bryant's last all lilly white team made the mistake of scheduling an integrated team from USC. Needless to say (but I will anyway), the Trojans ran them into the ground on their home field. The next year, the Tide had blacks on their team.
  2. I think Sanchez would stuggle running KC's offense - since it would be a huge step down in sophistication from USC's.
  3. Innocent until proven guilty. Just ask Rogers Clemens and Rod Blagojevich.
  4. Rats. I thoght Bruce wrote an article about the Mount Carmel Caravan.
  5. Makes sense, both his mom and dad went to EIU.
  6. Fast forward 5 years. A NFL fan turns to another fan and says, "Tebow is a pretty good tight end, I almost forgot he used to be a Quarterback." http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123189723761979533.html Gotta think Rep. Towns and Obama are really closet USC, Utah and Texas fans.
  7. The big question now for USC is the future of quarterback Mark Sanchez. He is expected to return for his senior season, but that decision could be altered if Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford announces he is turning pro before Thursday's deadline. NFL analysts project Sanchez could be the No. 2 quarterback taken in the draft behind Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford if Bradford stays in college. They really project Sanchez over Bradford? I haven't seen much about it him in the mock drafts I've seen, but what are the odds he goes pro? I haven't seen anybody project Sanchez over Bradford. If anything, most mocks have Bradford going before Stafford and Sanchez not even in the top 10. Careful before you pounce. Re-read the post. "NFL analysts project Sanchez could be the No. 2 quarterback taken in the draft behind Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford if Bradford stays in college." Implication is that Sanchez would be #3 if Bradford comes out.

  9. http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=olney_buster&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fespn%2fblog%2findex%3fname%3dolney_buster Agree with Buster on McGwire but not on Bonds and Clemens.
  10. Then maybe he shouldn't have tried to bash the Trojans.
  11. I see your Illini took Western Michigan off their schedule - must not want to suffer the embarassment of losing to them again. But they did add perennial football power Illinois State and the always dangerous "TBA" - must be tough deciding if you want to play Eastern Illinois or Lousianna-Lafayette again.
  12. Maybe he'll get lucky again and be able to dodge USC for another year.
  13. Maybe the Badgers would draw the mighty Zips in a rematch with one of their opponents from the regular season.
  14. and if there was a playoff, you would be right.
  15. What time the does the 3rd place game (Florida vs Oklahoma) start?
  16. Who can argue with Urban Meyer? He definitely was right two years ago. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090107/ap_on_sp_co_ne/fbc_t25_bcs_championship_4
  17. Feel free to provide your indepth polling results and quantitative and qualitative analysis to back up a blanket statement about such a large group of fans. Is your sample size even in double figures?
  18. It's really ironic because there is so many other things to do in places like Oklahoma (as opposed to Southern California) than watch college football.
  19. Only because the defending champ (me) didn't enter this year year to give the rest of you guys a chance.
  20. That's a given considering USC blew out Ohio State and Penn State who beat Ohio State (who Texas could barely beat). One away game that they weren't up for cost USC the National Championship. USC 35 - 10 over Texas. texas wasn't "up for" the game last night though...and they still won! against a Big10 team! texas 42 - 13 over usc. LOL.
  21. A six point away loss is not an embarrassment - what the Trojans did to the lllini last year and to Ohio State and Penn State this year was embarrassing to those programs. USC's under ranked D was ranked #1 in the nation. Matt Cassell couldn't start there but he was one of the top QBs in the NFL this year. 7 straight Pac Ten (5 - 0 in bowls this year) titles. 7 straight 11 win seasons. 7 straight BCS bowl games. USC = football dynasty. You're just very green with envy - which along with your red hair must make you very popular with the "ladies" at Panos.

  23. Congrats to the Big Ten, who in seven bowls games, came home with one win against mighty South Carolina.
  24. Lol. Seriously Dave Kaplan is dumber than the Voice of Reason. and almost as ugly as South Side Ryan. One thing I have disliked about this website for quite some time now is that it seems that the "Attack the argument, not the poster" rule has seemingly been long since forgotten. Pretty sure he's Voice of Reason is just joking. I'll ban him if you want though. For Retaliating? SSR was trolling.
