    Yeah, I despise the “fine people on both sides” argument, even though it’s pretty accurate here. My parents are Cubs fans. I lived in Chicago for almost 2 decades and still think it’s one of the world’s great cities. I have tons of close friends who are Cubs fans. That why I hate the broad stroke descriptions of either fan base. Fandom in general tends to make us mouth breathing idiots. Back to lurking.

    Which is exactly why they will hire Girardi. He has the Cardinal Way written all over him, but he hasn’t lost the clubhouse like Matheny...yet. Every Card fan I know wants Oquendo promoted.

    It started when he was in like AA and he was talking about how great his team's lineup was, and he knew himself and two other top-100 prospects. He went down the list saying "some guy" for everyone else. And IMB was write, that kind of stuff seems *hilarious* and not annoying in retrospect. I really, really wanted Mendy to be a thing. But then Javy showed me what middle infield defense is supposed to look like.
