  1. Holy crap! Nice story. Ricky was an interesting dude.
  2. So, interesting games in the SEC fall schedule. Hugh Freeze and Liberty at Ole Miss Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss at Tennessee BAMA vs Miami Auburn at Penn St
  3. It’s that he seems to get by a lot on his athleticism against slow and weak competition. Yeah, he does. But he's playing with slower, weaker teammates than the Power 5 guys as well. Size, arm, athleticism reminds me of another FCS guy who ran around the competition from back in the day, Steve McNair. That seems like a good comp, but he could also turn out to be Jake Locker or Ryan Tannehill. I just don’t think he’s worthy of a 1st round pick.
  4. I know Lance has played far fewer games than Mahomes and Allen but I thought the same thing about those two and look how they turned out. I guess if you actually have a good coaching staff and system, it matters a lot less. (For the record, I agree with you.) I mean, I begrudgingly hold the fact he played for NDSU against him but whatevs It’s that he seems to get by a lot on his athleticism against slow and weak competition.
  5. I agree that Pitts is a beast. Najee Harris runs much more violently, ala Derrick Henry, than Forte ever did. You didn't mention him, but I do not get the love for Trey Lance. He just seems like a guy.
  6. I’m absolutely a Jays and Padres fan this season. Those will be fun teams.
  7. There’s a lot of people out there that like Tony Romo as a color guy, but holy hell, he is awful. Just a dumb goober who guesses wrong on every play. What makes it worse is that even after he’s wrong he talks over the live action trying to explain how “it was there though”. Just bad.
  8. Re: Packers kicking that FG If they don’t make it on 4th and goal, they have to make a stop and score a TD. Kicking that FG means they still have to make a stop and score a TD. They had a chance to tie the game, make a stop and kick a FG to win in regulation. It makes no sense.
  9. How do you kick that FG if your the Packers? You still need a TD and you hope you get the ball back.
  10. That CB for the Packers should just change and go home now.
  11. That had that one window that was slammed shut by God-mode Jake and Schwarbs. Is that the last time that Pirates fan posted here?
  12. Sunshine, where have you gone?
  13. Kamara and Ramcyk are not going anywhere. I can see Lattimore and and MT being available, along with Emmanuel Sanders, Jared Cook, Kwon Alexander, Marcus Williams, Sheldon Rankins, Janoris Jenkins, and one of Trey Hendrickson and Cam Jordan. They are going to have no choice but to push money out to the future. Ramczyk and Lattimore will probably get extended with HUGE signing bonuses and very low base salaries so they can save 8-10Mil on each. Jordan and Armstead will get extensions also w/ big signing bonuses and low 2021 salaries. Jenkins, Alexander, Josh Hill, Patrick Robinson, Rankins, and Easton are easy no-brainer cuts. Marcus Williams walks in free agency. Even if Brees retires as expected, they'll have to hold onto him until June 1 to get the most savings this year (will also have a cap hit in 2022 though). The thing w/ Lattimore is that they probably have to lose all their DBs other than CGJ, so they'll have to completely revamp that position if he's not back. He's probably their most tradeable player though and could return multiple picks (including a 2nd), which is important since they'd be down to like 35 players when they cut all the players they need to. Mickey Loomis is a MFing wizard when it comes to maneuvering to get under the salary cap, but I don’t see them pushing too much money to the future. Out of the names listed, I think Ramcyk and maybe Lattimore are priorities. If they resign Marshon, it’s probably an indication that this is retool rather than a total tear down. But yeah, the rest of those names are likely gone. I can see PRob resigned to replace Janoris.
  15. Quietly, one of the better pitchers of all time. RIP
  16. Brees just isn’t even looking downfield.
  17. Saints are the better team. Don’t blow it.
  18. Honestly really surprised, besides disappointed, that they’re playing the tomahawk chop in KC.
  19. Way too early, totally irrational take: I’ve got the Bills.
  20. What a terrible call. That should be targeting, 1st and goal at the 1 yard line for Cleveland.
  21. Holy crap, that’s incredible. Wish it was Brady.
  22. The power does seem to be shifting to the AFC, largely because of those QBs you mentioned. Even if Tua doesn’t ever become a thing, that team is very close to being a power in the AFC East. The Raiders, Browns, Bills and Bengals all either took a forward leap this season or seemed poised to do so next year. Dynasties, even at the divisional level, are bad for sports. Meanwhile, the entire NFC South is a huge question mark, and LOL NFC East.
  23. I knew Harden came to camp out of shape, but he is doughy. He’s going to look like Chef from South Park soon.
  24. Taysom Hill OUT for the Saints today due to a sore knee. The odds that that Sean Payton calls some ridiculous flea flicker play action pass when the offense is already rolling just went down significantly.
