  1. Wait, is this guy a regular thing? You guys act like he's around all the time. How do you know he's a POS?
  2. The decision to leave in Burnett is awful. Not impressed with Ryno's managerial ability to this point.
  3. I noticed this at the game Friday and I asked on here...apparently they did work on that wall over the offseason Rickets said that during the broadcast the other day.
  4. What a [expletive] douchebag that guy is who took his head. Not only is a dumbass for taking it in the first place, but then him and his boyz get all butthurt when the guy comes back after them. Super cool bro!
  5. OK, this part was pretty good.
  6. If any expectations aren't met, that just proves that the expectations were too high given what they inherited. And also it's The Plan not to meet them. I hope that this organization doesn't let me down and I turn cynical, but if I do, I want to be cynical like Kyle.
  7. Where are his potential landing spots? Would be a great backup to Forte :) The New York teams are both interested. The Jets, Falcons, Bills, and Dolphins all talked trade for him. The Dolphins could give themselves a solid backfield with CJ and Knowshon. I'd have no problems bringing CJ in to back up Forte either Serious question. Do you really think CJ would sign anywhere where he'd be a back up?
  8. Local radio here is saying that he has agreed to play at least some safety. This makes me wonder if they're worried about Vaccaro's ankle being healthy.
  9. God I can't stand Rick Pitino. Could you not just let your son have his day? No, he has to make sure he gets as much face time as possible during his son's biggest coaching moment to date. What a douche. I loved it in the 90's when Nolan used to get under his skin while he was at Kentucky. No love lost between those two.
  10. I hear it down here talking to my Cubs fan friends. I'm not against trading Castro in theory, but how about we don't dump him at his all time low value? I say this and they still clamor on, about Castro and about Theo being worthless.
  11. If you can endure 1984 and 2003, you can handle waiting as long as there's promise. When the Cubs compete again (soon) all of us will go ape [expletive] all over again. Being a Saints and a Cubs fan growing up was pretty rough year after year until the Payton/Brees era. I still wouldn't trade that title in 2010 for anything, as I feel like Bears fans felt in 1985. Disappointment is a part of sports, but it makes it that much sweeter when it does happen.
  12. The pitcher formerly known as Fausto Carmona, Roberto Hernandez In Anglo terms, wouldn't this be like changing your name from Chest Rockwell to John Smith? It's more like a guy by the name of John Smith having a fake ID for Ron Mexico. Minus the herpes or dog torture.
  13. The pitcher formerly known as Fausto Carmona, Roberto Hernandez In Anglo terms, wouldn't this be like changing your name from Chest Rockwell to John Smith?
  14. It's funny...the two most "proven" guys are the ones I feel the least good about. REALLY starting to like Strop.
  15. Man, it is nice to know that the Cubs potentially have 3 guys I could see being a solid closer. The bullpen could be nasty this year. If we ever hit and actually have leads going into the 6th, we could really win some games.
  16. Encouraging for me. Our starters and bullpen have largely pitched very well, and some of these guys have to hit eventually, right? The difference in these 2 games even making it to extras was the lack of maybe 2 hits with RISP. Another 0-fer from Castro will start to get me uneasy though.
  17. Best Sammy memory is of course from June 1998, but especially him crushing in the old Tiger Stadium.
  18. Any Chicagoans know what the weather is supposed to be for the Philly series?

    Happy 2014 Season Everybody!! http://s2.quickmeme.com/img/f4/f448ef1312aa7f2634680e5dcb916664f12a98edd314c71d682ac53e0197a660.jpg
  20. Screw that. I'll have what you're having.
  21. 78 wins. Offense is much improved, bullpen is a big strength but starters largely are disappointing to mediocre. Castro's comeback is so-so, but Rizzo thrives with some protection in the line-up from Olt, and especially after Baez and then KB are called up. Lake starts off strong creating anarchy on NSBB.
  22. HA! That's kind of catchy. Chicago Cubs Baseball 2014: Flirting with Adequacy.
  23. Wow. Not at all to me. I love watching say, Felix Hernandez pitch against Yu Darvish.
