  1. You guys are insane if you don't mention Claire Danes in My So Called Life. http://thediarytalesofahopelessromantic.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/angela-chase.jpg
  2. I prefer this analogy: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m9sv0xcxPc1rcg2mzo1_500.gif
  3. Actually she's right. It would be a different story because WHITE PEOPLE NEVER WERE SLAVES FORCED TO PICK COTTON! See, no context.
  4. So as head coach Franklin withheld evidence of criminal activity? Sounds like a Penn State man.
  5. This is fantastic!!! 2016...PROFIT!

  7. Yeah, but how far away is Green Bay from Madison? Oh, wait.
  8. Last year SEC teams played at Indiana, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Miami, Oregon, Texas, Alabama played Virginia Tech in Atlanta, and Mississippi State played Oklahoma State in Houston This year SEC teams will play at Clemson, Florida State, Oklahoma, Louisville, Kansas State, Texas Tech, and LSU is playing Wisconsin in Houston LSU facing Wisconsin in Houston is not really a road game. It's certainly not a home game. Baton Rouge is about 5 hours away. In any case, I doubt that this fact would cause Wisconsin to tell the SEC to [expletive] off in the future. And how far away is Madison? The point was made that other conferences would tell the SEC to [expletive] off because they don't go on the road. I don't think picking one neutral site game which is closer to LSU than Wiscy makes this point. LSU has played or is about to play Oregon, Virginia Tech, UCLA, Arizona and on and on.

Careful, you're going to destroy the narrative.
  11. yeah, the 100th birthday game was definitely it for me. i'll check in occasionally, but i probably saw 90% of the innings this year up to that point. no more. Exactly this for me, haven't watched an inning since that game. The double turd of that game plus the Sammy snub did it for me. This also has to be a record for me for earliest I start caring more about the Minors thread.
  12. So this is how tonight's game thread will reach 3 pages. Make it an Cobs/NHL Playoff thread.
  13. The Cubs event I am most looking forward to is Iowa coming to town. Seriously, if CSN was broadcasting the White Sox game would the Cubs get bumped down to some guy streaming from the stands on his I-phone?
  14. Hey, the Cubs made third in Orleans Parrish! [expletive] Yankees...
  15. Didn't see it posted yet-the Wrigley cake out with the trash. If ever a picture told a story... http://deadspin.com/the-cubs-400-pound-wrigley-cake-is-sitting-in-a-dumpste-1567177257 http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--yS6UalUX--/c_fit,fl_progressive,w_636/b3hkmouokh4pcolxc7ik.jpg
  16. What's also sad and makes this all the more maddening is looking at the pictures from the players on the field yesterday. IIRC, every Cubs great but one out there was 60 years old or more (Hawk the youngest). The one link between 1992 and today out there was Ryne [expletive] Dempster?!? I realize Kerry would have been great to see, but Dempster is the best they could do? Not even one clip of Sammy in the intro video. Unbelievable.
  17. Seriously, Ryan Dempster? He was so out of place it was actually awkward seeing him there. I wonder if he almost invited himself to attend. McGwire has been hitting coach for the Cardinals, Bonds is embraced again by the Giants, and Ryan [expletive] Braun is getting standing ovations in Milwaukee. They couldn't even show one Sosa highlight in the opening bit.
  18. It's probably going to take someone like Ernie, Maddux or Wood speaking up for Sammy to even begin the conversation.
  19. Yes. I am having to close the page then reload it to get it to come back on.
  20. Generally I would say this is a good thing. Right?
  21. Apparently both the inside and outside corners are being called strikes against Castro.
  22. Glad someone else said this. I hope so, partly because his development and partly because there shouldn't be anyone the FO wants to get a look at who's blocking him.
  23. Oh joy. More Jon Gruden.
  24. I'm not 100% convinced he wouldn't fare better than Olt has if he was brought up today. I'm 100% convinced he would. Which means he would be the 3rd or 4th best hitter on the team.
