  1. Also, not a banner first game for Antawn Jamison.
  2. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it doesn't look like they're losing in Minnesota.
  3. I'll select Shelby Miller, SP, STL Sorry about the delay. Clint, go for it!
  4. I have a feeling once Chuck picks, it'll be Clint's turn within 5 minutes. I've been ready :clapping: as long as no one takes my guy :beg: . *refines search for White Sox prospects...*
  5. I have a feeling once Chuck picks, it'll be Clint's turn within 5 minutes.
  6. Plushenko claims Lysacek isn't a true champion without doing a quad jump. However, the Olympic judges apparently determined Plushenko wasn't a true champion with a quad, and I think their vote counts more.
  7. Do you want to explain your declaration that the trades yesterday somehow leave the Bulls shorthanded for the rest of the season? I mean, I know most of the talk yesterday was about acquiring the expiring contracts for players, but the Bulls do actually get to use those players the rest of the season. That and it's not like the ended up with a significant dropoff in ability in regards to what they traded and what they got in return. Any talk like "the season is over" or "the season doesn't matter now" is ridiculous. They traded Tyrus Thomas and John Salmons. Yeah, I specifically asked Kevin Pelton in the chat yesterday about the dropoff, and he gave a rough estimate of a 1 win dropoff the rest of the year. So, from projected 42-40 to 41-41.
  8. I guess. But now that the trade deadline is over, there's nothing to talk about until the summer. This season doesn't actually matter. It matters in a "let's not get Rose and/or Noah killed this season" way, but not in a "let's go win it all this year" kind of way.

  10. On that note, Teheran is already in the database, so he shouldn't have to be created.
  11. But anyway... 17. Tootielicious 18. Northside Baseball 19. Saber Metrics 20. Bazingas 21. NC Cubs 22. Quakers 23. Lynx 24. Galesburg Hand Sanitizers 25. Alamo Stealth 26. Harry's Budcrew 27. Fuzzy Logistics 28. Valenzuela's Screwballs 29. Raw Dawgs 30. Sock it Thome 31. Kid Rodelo 32. Eyes of Texas
  12. Your previous owner went all in to try to win it all and you have zero picks this year. No, really, it was just the one, you should pick in round 2 in the normal spot.
  13. I'll select Julio Teheran, SP, ATL
  14. Anybody PM/text Tim?
  15. Plushenko holding up both index fingers after his skate, but comes up 1.3 points short anyway. Lysacek wins gold!
  16. OK, I admit it, I'm watching men's figure skating and excitedly rooting for the Americans. Lysacek leads the field by a good 12 points, and only Plushenko can beat him now.
  17. They did actually get players in return in these trades. Warrick and Murray will likely take Salmons and Thomas's minutes over, with no net change in rotation minutes.
  18. So if Deven doesn't pick in the next 3 hours, do we just skip and move on?
  19. One thing I learned today about the hockey this time around is that all the teams make the qualification round, seeded 1-12 after the round robin. The top 4 teams get byes to the quarterfinals. Seed order is determined by the following parameters, in order of importance: - Standing in the group - Number of points - Goal differential - Goals scored - IIHF ranking So, after the first round of games, here are the standings: 1. Canada (GD 8) 2. Russia (GD 6) 3. Finland (GD 4) 4. USA (IIHF #5) 5. Czech Republic (IIHF #6, 3 GS) 6. Sweden (2 GS) 7. Switzerland (IIHF #7) 8. Slovakia (IIHF #9, 1 GS) 9. Germany (0 GS) 10. Belarus (GD -4) 11. Latvia (GD -6) 12. Norway (GD -8) So, it's important for the US team to score as many goals as possible here, and play Canada as close as possible next game in order to grab that 4 seed.
  20. I think that's pretty much a best-case scenario return on Tyrus at this point.
  21. Damn you; I was hoping I was the only one who noticed that he was still available. :evil:You really thought a fantasy league loaded with Cub fans wouldn't notice their #1 prospect was available? :)
  22. Hey, that's why everyone has a 24 hour window to pick. However, we generally start the harassment after 24 seconds, so...Raw's on the clock!
  23. Or those of us that Tivo the afternoon events so we can watch it tonight, but yet come to this thread to talk about...yeah, I got nothing.
  24. Karen is on the clock.
  25. I think you should give me my pick back. 8-[ I think offering to take the pick from him in exchange for the convenience of not having to check in here is a perfectly fair trade...
