  1. I threw in the bottom of the bracket in mostly reverse-S-curve order: -------------------------------------- Midwest Region - St. Louis, MO -------------------------------------- -- March 18/20 -- Oklahoma City, OK 1 Kansas 16 Winthrop 8 9 -- March 19/21 -- Spokane, WA 4 Georgetown 13 5 Temple 12 -- March 19/21 -- Milwaukee, WI 2 Ohio State 15 Long Beach/UCSB 7 10 -- March 18/20 -- San Jose, CA 3 New Mexico 14 Ohio/Akron 6 Texas 11 -------------------------------------- West Region - Salt Lake City, UT -------------------------------------- -- March 19/21 -- Milwaukee, WI 1 Kentucky 16 East Tennessee State 8 9 -- March 18/20 -- Providence, RI 4 Michigan State 13 Oakland 5 Maryland 12 -- March 18/20 -- New Orleans, LA 2 Purdue 15 Morgan State 7 10 -- March 18/20 -- Providence, RI 3 Villanova 14 Montana 6 Texas A&M 11 -------------------------------------- South Region - Houston, TX -------------------------------------- -- March 19/21 -- Buffalo, NY 1 Syracuse 16 Lehigh/SWAC winner 8 9 -- March 18/20 -- San Jose, CA 4 Butler 13 5 Tennessee 12 -- March 18/20 -- Oklahoma City, OK 2 Kansas State 15 Vermont 7 10 -- March 19/21 -- Jacksonville, FL 3 Wisconsin 14 Houston 6 Clemson 11 -------------------------------------- East Region - Syracuse, NY -------------------------------------- -- March 19/21 -- Jacksonville, FL 1 Duke 16 Robert Morris 8 9 -- March 19/21 -- Spokane, WA 4 Pittsburgh 13 5 Vanderbilt 12 -- March 19/21 -- Buffalo, NY 2 West Virginia 15 North Texas 7 10 -- March 18/20 -- New Orleans, LA 3 Baylor 14 Sam Houston State/SFA 6 BYU 11 Just double check for me that there are no rematches set up or geographical disadvantages for anyone in their first round matchup.
  2. Morgan State wins the MEAC.
  3. Go Vandy.
  4. I'm gonna need like an hour or two to calm down from that.
  5. Can't really fault him too much, but that's only the first FT Griffey has missed all year.
  6. Indeed, Clark, OSU was successful during their 20-0 run, and yet the game is in overtime.
  7. Also, Morgan State leads South Carolina State 29-24 at the half of the MEAC championship.
  8. Rhode Island has fought back to make it somewhat respectable, down 11 with a minute left. Duke has stretched the lead to 14 midway through the second half. Illinois leads Ohio State by 9 with 11 to play.
  9. Vermont wins the America East. I have no problem just sliding them into the spot occupied by BU.
  10. Illini doing a much better job staying with Diebler this game as opposed to the last 2. He's only gotten 2 shots so far.
  11. Temple leads URI by 17 at the half, Duke leads Miami by 5 with Singler on the bench with an injury, and Kentucky leads Tennessee by 13 at the half. Illinois leads OSU 16-15 early.
  12. What is Vermont's resume looking like? Is it different enough that they'd be in a different spot on our curve? Nah, it's pretty similar, they even swept BU during the regular season. They just don't have a top 100 win and didn't schedule as difficult.
  13. It might be a good idea to at least try to guard Diebler at the 3 point line this game. Although maybe we could just start with hanging onto the ball and not allowing layups.
  14. Another championship winding down: Vermont leads BU by 5 with 4 and a half minutes to play.
  15. Houston put between Sam Houston State and Ohio on the S-Curve. Now only 27 teams to place today, as Minnesota is bumped back to consideration for now. 16. UTEP is in. UTEP did squat in non conference play. I'm not so sure they're safely in.

  18. Who starts games at 10:30 AM Central? If you're a conference that wants to play a championship game on the last Saturday and don't want to get buried behind Big East/Big 12/Pac 10 championship coverage, you play early. They've started this game at this time for years. And mostly for the reason I stated.
  19. If Houston makes it, are they above the lower teams we already placed? I'd probably put them just above Oakland, myself. So we wouldn't have to redo that part.
  20. Houston up 6 now with 40 seconds to go, UTEP just falling apart.
  21. Who starts games at 10:30 AM Central? If you're a conference that wants to play a championship game on the last Saturday and don't want to get buried behind Big East/Big 12/Pac 10 championship coverage, you play early.
  22. Yeah, like that. Bid theft watch: Houston leads UTEP by 4 with 2 mins to play.
  23. BYU can also only go in the East or West region. The simplest solution would be to send Wisconsin to the Jacksonville pod and Baylor to New Orleans pod, and match up BYU-Baylor and Clemson-Wisconsin.
  24. LOL, Seth Greenberg just invoked the transitive property to argue Virginia Tech's case: "People talk about the unbalanced schedule, but we beat the two teams in the league that beat Duke this year, Georgia Tech and NC State."
  25. Bubble teams everywhere rooting hard for UTEP right now. I think that includes Illinois and Minnesota.
