From the 8:38 mark of the second period through the end of the game, the Hawks were dominating the chances. Before that, though, the Canucks were really dominating chances.

    I'd say both games 2 and 3 the Hawks were outplayed the first 20 minutes, and outplayed Vancouver for the last 40. Game 1 was the opposite.

    I dunno. I'm worried about where we'll end up. Not a lot of people clamoring for the Kansas market. I'm sure they'll slide into a reformed Mountain West conference nicely.

    I have some bad pitching match-ups this week. Don't like either of Garcia or Penny in Philly, but only 7 starts to choose from.

    Dwight Howard got 3 first place votes, actually. Kobe got zero.

    So a really unlucky pitcher against a really lucky pitcher. Sounds like a recipe for success.

    The current OPS's for each of Soriano, Fukudome, Colvin and Byrd are pretty outstanding for this month, actually. If only the first and third basemen could provide some offense soon.

    Well, the way I see it, as long as he gives positive points, it was worth it. So if you don't think he'll have back to back disaster starts it'll be fine.

    the trip was caused by the high stick though. Ehh, looked like the other way around to me. Trip first, followed by SJ player flailing like he was shot, causing the high stick.

    From my point of view late in the second, the first was a trip (but sold well), the second was a dive and should have been called as such.

    If Rose can be "the guy", it will work out better. I just take Rose as a better complementary player than an alpha dog, and I don't really see Bosh as an alpha dog either. I'm giddy at the possibility of Rose and Noah being the second and third options on a team.

    Whatever happens this offseason, here's what I do NOT want to see: - Joe Johnson with a max contract - David Lee as one of the big FA signings Best case scenario, LeBron or Wade comes to Chicago. Second best case, Bosh + a 3 point shooter come to Chicago.

    i think you're underestimating the pens. I'm pretty sure the Pens will steamroll the rest of the East at this point. I'm just saying, who is the "weakest" team left in the West? San Jose, perhaps? I might take the Pens over SJ, but by that point SJ will have beaten Detroit and Chi/Van, and finished with the second best record in the NHL. Detroit is finally healthy, Vancouver and Chicago have both been fantastic all year too.

    He was a top prospect in their system, but now he's coming off TJ surgery. Apparently TJ surgery and Dave Duncan is the cure for any young Cardinal pitcher. He doesn't have much of a K-rate, though to this point, but nobody's made good contact off him.

    I'd actually take Lou in the dugout before any of the 3 prior managers the Cubs had. Riggleman, though, I'd rather see in the dugout than Lou.

    At this point I think I'd take anybody in the west over anybody in the east.
