  1. Yeah, there's plenty to get on the offense about, but hitting with RISP, while the popular scapegoat, is well down the list of issues.
  2. Plus, here's the kicker: one of those two batters is the current catcher, so Soto will be entering the game anyway.
  3. According to Nate Silver, the US has a 55.8% chance of advancing out of their group in June.
  4. ...as the Brewers' run differential against the Pirates drops to +45 in 5 games.
  5. And that's why you don't let Lebron beat you. It's never just two, certainly not in the fourth quarter (deserved or not). James initiated the contact, Miller was backing away, that wasn't in the spirit of the rule.
  6. Hey, at least the Bulls didn't roll over and quit.
  7. Message board grinder rule #1: When 90% of a message board population disagrees with you, you aren't wrong, it's just groupthink.

    Week 4

That's fine, I was just reading that line differently, I guess.

    Week 4

You can pick one up mid week.
  11. I love Z. "It's like the commercial," Zambrano said. "I can pitch. I can hit. I can play left field, I can play shortstop. As long as somebody pays, [Leon] can play. If [Marmol] needs a day off, I can be a closer. I will do my job in that spot if they want me to be the [closer]."
  12. He was also red hot going into the series last year.
  13. That's a nice story - but how does it explain Marmol, who is also a former catcher? Marmol wasn't a good catcher anyway, so [expletive] contact.
  14. I married a Sox fan, and I don't care about the "rivalry". I do get a lot of the inferiority complex, though. :)
  15. Washington has been defensively challenged all year, they've just had the offense to make up for it.
  16. If 19 games is enough to banish Z to the pen, 19 games is enough to declare the RF issue solved.

    Week 4

I'm convinced Al's team has just been lying in the weeds for 3 weeks so he can jump up and beat the crap out of me this week like he did twice last year.
  18. Where did you get that impression? The White Sox are about as far from a "rival" as you can get for the Cubs. They are in a different division, in a different league, and play the Cubs 6 games a year. In the grand scheme of things, the White Sox are meaningless to the Cubs. Plus, having frequented White Sox games, there is a lot of apparel being sold outside Sox games that is strictly "Cub hate" apparel. The reverse is not true. From general observation, here's how it seems to work: - The White Sox and Brewers fans have a weird inferiority complex with the Cubs. - The Cubs fans have a weird (but understandable) inferiority complex with the Cardinals. These aren't 100% absolutes, but definitely what you see from the average fan.
  19. If they want to do this, just give the White Sox the trophy and let them display it at the cell. It apparently means a lot more to them.

    Week 3

Well we're 3 weeks in now, and there are only 2 undefeated teams, and neither of them is in the top 4 in points.
  21. The Mavs and Nuggets series are shocking me. The Spurs and Jazz were the two best teams in the West over the last two months of the season, so it's not completely surprising to me. Not to mention that the difference between the 2 seed and the 8 seed was what, 4 games?

    Week 3

288 week 1, 288 week 2, 282.25 with Bay's numbers remaining in week 3. Anybody scores 290 or better they beat me. :)
  23. Kane is so unclutch. Disappears in all the big games.
  24. Dan LeFevour=out of the league in two to three years. Yeah, I don't get that sentiment. How are the Bears going to develop him and flip him for added value? Is it going to be all the time he doesn't see on the field, or simply that Chicago Bear QB pedigree?
  25. I think somebody accidentally set the Bears to autodraft.
