  1. Hibbert just turned around and walked the other way. I understand that Hibbert is a center and Kyle is a SF but seriously, you can't just leave him open. "I wasn't even supposed to be here today!"
  2. http://twitter.com/#!/MikeWellsNBA/status/62928720058531840 lol
  3. Time for the Bulls to stop playing a weird game of "up the ante" and play well. Game 1: Can the Bulls win without a good defensive effort? Yes, if they rebound and play well offensively Game 2: Can the Bulls win without a good offensive effort? Yes, if they play defense, rebound, and Rose does well offensively. Game 3: Can the Bulls win without a good offense while being outrebounded, committing double the turnovers and without Rose hitting shots? Yes, if they play defense, Rose hits foul shots, and Korver shoots well. Game 4: Can the Buls win without a good offense while being outrebounded, committing double the turnovers, allowing more foul shots, with an injured Rose and without Korver hitting shots? No, but they were a Boozer 3 away.
  4. Encouraging stat of the day: The Blackhawks haven't lost a game 7 since 1971. (They did, however, get swept out of the playoffs a bunch)
  5. Just win tonight, and I'm pretty sure the NBA will hold off on starting the second round until at least most of the first is over, even if matchups are all set in the East.
  6. Clownshoes We should probably cut him now. no,but he should be sat for a game. Hey, I love the guy, but without him, were still up 3-0 and you know its never easy for us against the damn Rockies. No, he shouldn't "be sat" for a game. That is just asinine.
  7. Encouraging stat of the day: There have been 45 prior instances in the NHL playoffs where a higher seed has lost consecutive games by at least 5 goals. The higher seed has won the series in 9 of those 45 instances. Broken down by specific results: Blown out games 1 and 2: 7 times, 3 wins Blown out games 2 and 3: 12 times, 1 win Blown out games 3 and 4: 15 times, 3 wins Blown out games 4 and 5: 8 times, 0 wins Blown out games 5 and 6: 10 times, 2 wins Blown out games 6 and 7: 3 times, 0 wins (obviously)
  8. Now both teams have won 2 games and stolen one each. All that's left is for Toews to join the party with a hat trick or something Tuesday.
  9. The Hawks are the 7th team in NHL history to force game 7 after being down 3-0. Previous teams are 3-3 in those game 7's.
  10. Well, looks like we now have a new textbook definition of a lucky shot.
  11. I think saying they dominated Game 3 is a major stretch. They had 20 scoring chances to Vancouver's 9 in game 3. Crawford wasn't quite as good as they needed him to be. 5-5 they were clearly better. We had 14 power play minutes to their 4 and had only 6 more shots. Our last 4 minutes with a man advantage we couldn't even set up in their zone and get a shot on net. http://www.coppernblue.com/2011/4/18/2098912/recent-contract-details 5v5 the Hawks were clearly better, getting 13 chances to the Canucks 7. The Hawks had 14 minutes of PP time and generated 7 chances to the Canucks 1 on PP time. Yes, it was more even in the second half of the game, but the Hawks had no business being tied by that point.

  13. The most frustrating thing about the series right now is that the Hawks have absolutely dominated play for 3 straight games now and trail 3-2 in the series. Heck, even game 1 the #1 star should have been the Canuck goal posts.
  14. ok it was a penalty that went uncalled, but saying that he shouldn't play again in the series is pretty crazy. That was Bolland's second game back after missing two months with a concussion. Clear blow to the head.
  15. And as for Edler: http://i1131.photobucket.com/albums/m545/dimagus/EdlerElbow.gif The call on the ice: Slashing on Brouwer, no penalty on Edler.
  16. For those that didn't catch it, this is why Bolland threw an absolute fit and got himself a penalty for jawing at the ref: http://s3.amazonaws.com/twitpic/photos/large/281907466.jpg?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAJF3XCCKACR3QDMOA&Expires=1303448062&Signature=f7rJmExh3G%2BHcs3wqAatr%2F0zlho%3D
  17. Edler and Hamhuis should be suspended for the rest of the series.
  18. I can't believe Edler didn't even get a penalty for that crap.
  19. dwight and the magic still scare me... a lot They have to get by Atlanta first. doubt that will be a problem. atl is an average team Well, yeah, but now it's a best of 5 series in which Atlanta has home court advantage. Anything could happen. Especially considering Atlanta probably wins game 2 if Larry Drew isn't a complete idiot about his good players in the first half.
  20. Considering there have been two comebacks of at least 3 goals just in the last 2 days, keep piling it on, Hawks.
  21. Who knows? Puck in net again!
  22. If the game you are watching involves a Duke recruit by the name of Sedin that dives, then maybe. Otherwise, you may want to check out a hockey thread.
