Top 25 on the seed list went 22-3, with one of the losses being a Memphis team so overseeded they were the Vegas underdog in their game against Colorado State, and that doesn't include a Gonzaga team everyone thought was heavily underseeded and won by 20.

I do like that they've addressed line issues before the draft this year, so the draft strategy can migrate from "have to draft like 6 linemen in 7 picks to make anything work" to "just draft the best player available and try to get a major impact player at 10".

Well, a tourney. Meanwhile Nebraska went from safely into the NCAA tourney to not qualifying for the B1G tourney in 5 games. Ouch.

I'm encouraged that the front office was able to see that the interior O-line was a disaster and address it immediately this offseason. Less so that it took like 3 offseasons for this, but maybe they were enamored with the hope of Jenkins for too long, I dunno.

I think a lot of casual fans don't realize just how bad the Hawks (and Sharks and Ducks) were last year. Last year they finished the season with 52 points, which was 25 points out of 7th place in their division. This year, at the ASB they have 41 points, still in last place, but actually competing with the lower half teams in the league. To put it this way, they could improve their standing by about 20 points this season (72 points), which would be effectively an 8-10 win improvement, and still finish last in their division.

This is the second largest halftime deficit in Super Bowl history, 1 point behind the 1988 Super Bowl where Washington led Denver 35-10. Bears led 23-3 at the half in 1986

Jared Allen played 3 years at defensive end for the Chiefs after being drafted by them in 2004, and was then traded to the Vikings. Eventually played a year for the Bears. Definitely not relevant to this year's postseason or this comparison, though.

I'm pro Ben Johnson because he ran the Lions offense the past 3 years, and that offense has been near the top of the NFL, averaging 33.5 points per game this past season. In comparison, the Bears offense has scored over 33 points exactly 6 times the past 5 seasons (and they were a playoff team in one of those seasons!). In addition, everywhere I've seen him, he looks like he just has his horsefeathers together, which is something sorely missed in this franchise in recent memory. Even the speech to the employees, which was fairly normal and straightforward, was treated like he was some kind of rainbow unicorn because the franchise has sorely missed any kind of quality coaching and head coach that just simply has his horsefeathers together.
