I am so tired of the Tampa 2 defense. Sagging back and holding out for turnovers is not a good defensive plan long-term, and doesn't work at all when the front 4 can't get any pressures.
Yeah, he should have thrown it to the none receivers that were open as soon as his dropback finished because 0 of the 5 rushers were blocked.
Kyle is lcownshoes, don't acknowledge anything he says, it's all a stupid bit he does because he's endlessly bored.
Nobody open fast enough, 5 pass rushers on 6 blockers, and 5 different guys at least get a hand on Fields. Pass blocking is not there today, and defensive backfield doing nothing, leads to a bad combo.
DVOA ratings have moved to a new site, so I haven't been staying updated on them this season, but I was curious how the Bears were faring since I thought they'd been playing much better of late, and here are the weighted DVOA ratings (games most recent weighted most heavily, falling off after 8 games) as of the start of week 18:

Criticize Fields all you like, but I have to say the Bears did dodge that bullet in last year's draft. For sure I'd rather have Fields, Moore, Stevenson, Wright, and this year's #1 pick than Bryce Young.
