  1. Good things for Tahiti: - Well, their keeper did have more saves than Spain's keeper...
  2. Over. Over/Under on Spain's possession at 85%, what do you take?
  3. Have we really seen a weak glove hand from Crawford, consistently? I was confused by that. Doesn't seem to match up with what I've seen from him. Not that he's the world's greatest, but that was terrible. No, it was just a bad night from Crawford. He gets one, and the Hawks didn't even lose.
  4. I mean, Crawford was off, Leddy didn't play, Hossa was a non factor, the rest of the D was tired and/or terrible, and the Hawks still managed to score six goals and win.
  5. Both teams had equal amounts of pressure. I think the home atmosphere and crowd made Boston's chances seem bigger and more frequent. It was a very even game. No it wasn't, statistically. Hawks were just bad on the PK and left too many open shots on rushes coming back at them. I don't know stats for scoring chances it just seemed like it was even or in Boston's favor. I see shots were 47-33 Hawks. Chara, Marchand and Seguin were -3. So was Hammer. Rozsival, Keith and Bickell were +3. It only seemed that way in here because 75% of the people in this thread this week thought the series was over already and the Hawks are outclassed.

  7. Y'all are out of your [expletive] minds. The Hawks dominated this game. Out chanced them almost 2 to 1, and only a tired/bad defense kept it close.
  8. [expletive] all the haters. And yes, the Hawks were playing a man down for about 50 minutes.
  9. Great article analyzing the US attack from last night: http://www.americansoccernow.com/articles/united-states-beats-the-bunker-to-defeat-honduras
  10. Of course, since I said that, Mexico has actually controlled play pretty well and kept it in the offensive zone.
  11. I'm torn on Mexico here at the Confed Cup. Them doing well reflects well for CONCACAF on the world stage, and likely will have them retain their coach. But still...it's Mexico. I can't help but laugh at Brazil dismantling them.

  13. With Costa Rica's win, the US now needs only 3 points to assure at worst a tie for 3rd in qualifying. And if the 3 points is against someone other than Jamaica, they finish no worse than 3rd.
  14. USMNT now 5 points clear of...well, everybody, I guess.
  15. CR-Panama scoreless in the 32nd minute. Draw is best case for US winning the hex, CR win is best case for US securing qualification early.
  16. AFC qualifying just about done now. Japan, Australia, South Korea and Iran qualify. Uzbekistan and Jordan will playoff for the right to lose to Uruguay/some other CONMEBOL country.
  17. Love WC qualifying. Wild ending to Uzbekistan-Qatar today, as when Iran beat South Korea, Uzbekistan needed to make up a 6 goal differential on SK in the last 30 minutes of their match to qualify over them, and thus needed 7 goals in the last 30 minutes to qualify. They got 5.
  18. You do realize you can't just do that, right?
  19. Tahiti scores! Considering they scored goals in just one match of OFC qualifying, that's something.
  20. 2 goals in 10 minutes? That Tahiti-Spain match is going to be rough.

    Week 12

Daily substitutions and waivers go. Maybe now the drama can be limited to the outcome of the matchups. Three teams have already surpassed their win totals from last year.
  22. After all the [expletive] you give vancouver you're panicking worse than Luongo with someone in front of him.
  23. You are out of your mind.
  24. Cubs 8-21 against the NL Central, 20-17 against everyone else.
  25. I thought pitchers could be swapped in and out whenever so long as there were no more than two relievers active.
