    Yes, the Cubs are actually playing better and we can't just be satisfied with that since it's only been at home and they have a bunch of home games left.

    More home than road games, since they've played 31 road games and 26 home games? Nope. Not in between now and June 18th. We have 3 homes against Miami, and then 10 road games (no days off either). And after that, they'll have 41 road games and 53 home games remaining. So yes.

    Bowden hates the pick, so I'm in favor. It's better that Rodon went ahead of them to the Sox, or I'd have been disappointed they took Schwarber over Rodon. As is, though, any time you can take the best bat in the draft, it's a good pick. Plus, the Big Ten is the equivalent of AA in baseball, so he's practically ready for the big leagues already...

    I've been all in on Rodon since the start of the year, and things have just about lined up perfectly for the situation where he's there for the Cubs, so go on that scenario. EDIT: My top 4 choices: Rodon, Aiken, Jackson, Kolek

    3rd period predictions: Sharpie gets the hatty, Hawks hold on to win by 1.

    Basically the Hawks completely dominated the 2nd and caught a couple bad bounces, one that let up a goal that was basically nobody's fault.

    The biggest concern I have for the 3rd period are phantom make-up calls to make the PP #s look more even.

    You sure do like to bitch a lot in a game the Blackhawks are pretty handily outplaying the opponent. He does bitch way too much, but I don't think we're outplaying them. It's hard to say because sometimes we've been depending on playing it "safe" and trying to keep them on the perimeter without playing for risky breakouts, which isn't great for puck possession, but LA has had the better of it I think. Blackhawks have outchanced them last I checked (just prior to end of 2nd) 15-10 total, 12-9 EV. Completely dominated the 2nd period.

    It's in the USMNT's best interest that TUrkey doesn't get a red, though, since it makes the friendly rather pointless from a preparation point of view.

    Except that's not really what anyone's saying. Just that they aren't as bad as their W-L record, because their Pythag was both significantly better and more predictive. That's what Kyle literally just said. Kyle doesn't count. Actually, I'm looking for a FG article that explained a better predictive measure than Pythag on run differential that showed the Cubs were about halfway between decent and awful thus far (and was going to calculate an update of that measure), but finding old articles on FG isn't really easy.
