Was thinking it had been a while since there was some blatant SEC snobbery in the thread. Our high ranked teams wouldn't be squeaking out a win against UNC, the same team that gave up 29 to Liberty. Or losing at home to Indiana.

They were one of the worst teams in the league statistically last year and lost one of the two players they had that actually controlled the puck. I see them possibly last in the West this year.

Going by Sagarin predictor ratings (because it's at least unbiased, in contrast to the inertia of the polls), the top 3 and 7 of the top 10 lost or are losing today. Alabama, Oregon and Oklahoma were 1-3, A&M 5th, Stanford 7th, UCLA 8th, and LSU 10th.

They'll pick 9th, after the White Sox but before the Philles. -
Oakland leads 2-0. St. Louis wins the NL Central as Pittsburgh lost to Cincy. Detroit wins the AL Central by beating Minnesota. Boston trails 9-0 in the 7th, and the White Sox lead the Royals 4-2 in the 5th. If both those scores hold, this Cubs game is meaningless for draft position. So...win!

The Royals clinched a playoff spot last night for the first time in 29 years, leaving just 3 MLB teams that haven't been to the playoffs in the past 10 years. Any ideas?

I'd honestly prefer a better player in the draft at this point. I'd honestly prefer to just finish ahead of the White Sox at this point.

Texas 66-94 4. Colorado 66-93 5. Minnesota 69-91 6. Houston 70-90 7. Boston 70-90 8. Chicago White Sox 72-88 9. Chicago Cubs 72-88 10. Philadelphia 73-87 11. Cincinnati 74-86 Cubs can get no higher than 7th and no lower than 10th.
