  1. Why did Lloyd Carr get forced out again?
  2. http://www.nba.com/bulls/stacey-king-soundboard.html hell yes.
  3. They have Starks and have no running game. Or are we now counting 1 good game as the gospel? Well he had a good game against the Niners too. Then for whatever reason, he fell out of favor with McCarthy and was on the inactive list for the next couple of weeks before suiting up against the Bears. He's easily the most impressive back that we've seen this season. Of course, that's not really an indicator of how he really measures up in the league but more of an indictment as to how bad our other RB's are.
  4. How about 2001 when both the Bears and Packers were in the divisional round? I forgot about that since the Packers were so badly beaten. It wasn't that much worse than those games in 94.
  5. How about 2001 when both the Bears and Packers were in the divisional round?
  6. He's basically playing a hybrid version of linebacker and safety as it is right now, anyway. Asomugha and Tramon on the outside, Collins and Woodson as the safeties with Shields as the nickel. What a wet dream that'd be.
  7. Is anything really going to happen to Auburn now that they actually won the championship? Usually, the NCAA just punishes the team that doesn't win it all. Do you really think they would've taken the championship away from Memphis if Chalmers misses that shot at the buzzer a couple of years ago? I doubt it.
  8. What the hell is Thomas doing?
  9. That Rose oop was sick. It's really evident that this team just lacks focus against the little sisters of the poor. When they want to go on a run, they usually do in the second half. Eventually, something has to be done about the SG position, right?
  10. I think him to Stanford makes sense for both sides. Petersen's had plenty of chances to leave Boise but it doesn't seem like he wants to go to a big name school like a Florida or Michigan (just throwing out a couple). That's not to say he will go, but I think Stanford would be the type of school he would be willing to jump to if he does leave Boise. There was some random talks this past weekend about Petersen maybe taking over at Texas once Brown retires in a couple of years. They have had some connections this past year and with Harsin coming over it seems a little plausible. That's the job that I was thinking of too.
  11. Petersen can hold out for a much better gig than that.
  12. I'm not in full hockey mode yet this year (once the Bears bow out, err, win the Super Bowl, I will be), but from what I've seen it seems like they have one guy [expletive] the bed at a critical moment all too often. That's not luck, just crappy play by guys who wouldn't have made last year's roster. I went back and watched Games 5 and 6 of the cup finals this weekend. That was an amazing team. I think the bigger problem with this year's team is that the star players, namely Kane, Hossa, Seabrook and Keith, are playing like average players. Kane and Hossa have two good games over the weekend and what happens? Four points.
  13. So dexter is pretty mild-mannered when it comes to the Hawks, yet juding by his posts, you would think he's the erik316 of the Bulls. Not saying that I disagree with you or anything concerning the Hawks, just found that slightly amusing. We're up to 8th in even strength efficiency and we still have the best PP in the league. If we just get some sort of semblance of a PK, this team's going to be in good shape.
  14. Rivera's the guy I wanted during our coaching hire when we ultimately ended up hiring McCarthy. That was the year before the Bears reached the Super Bowl. Since then, he's really beefed up his resume. I'm not really sure who's a better candidate out there than Rivera, if you're going to go the coordinator route. You could certainly do a lot worse than him.
  15. No, because the second someone picks off the pass, he's kneeling down, because the game's over. Sure, if the pick is deep over the middle. But considering how often pick 6's come off passes in the flat where there is nothing but clear sailing for the defender, you have to think most guys are staying upright and running it in to clinch the game. A safety coming off a possession that starts with a kickoff, instead of a punt deep inside the 5, turnover on downs following a goal line stand or red zone turnover, is highly unlikely. Yeah, has anyone even seen a safety occur after a kickoff? I don't know I could see it happening in (extremely rare) instances where a short kickoff is mishandled by the returner as it bounces back 15 yards and the returner has to fall on it inside the 5. That sounds like a Lions play from a few years ago.
  16. I already ran out of the room after the INT and didn't even see what he did until after the game ended. That was just idiotic.
  17. Counting last year, a 1 or a 2 seed from the NFC has lost in the divisional round three of the last five years. In 2008, neither the 1 or 2 seed made it to the NFC Championship Game. Congrats on your inevitable trip to the Super Bowl. sulley's brother?

  19. That damn Creighton game. If we didn't blow that at the end of regulation, we'd be off to a 4-1 start in Valley play. Road games against Missouri State and Northern Iowa this week aren't going to be any fun.
  20. What's the budget for this year's class?
  21. Is it wrong wanting to face good teams? In a word, yes.
  22. Me too. Lets go.
  23. If I was a Packers fan, I don't know how I'd feel about facing the Seahawks after beating the Saints and Bears and having a crapload of momentum and a game at Qwest field. Not sounding cocky (i'm trying to write as a general NFL fan), but if they beat the Bears after beating the Saints, something strange is going on and I wouldn't want anything to do with playing them. I learned my lesson after rooting like hell for the Giants against the Cowboys in 07. If we win on Saturday, I'll have no rooting interest on Sunday.
  24. they are the GREATEST #6 SEED EVER. I can see that. Are you sulley's apprentice or something? Son.
  25. thank you Tramon Williams. I think I had every emotion in the book covered in the final four minutes or so.
