  1. Too bad it's not Floyd in LF and Murton in RF with Jones on the bench. I'm glad Theriot is in the lineup.
  2. Iowa's lineup: Pagan-RF Fontenot-2B Pie-CF Hoffpauir-1B Moore-LF Soto-C McGehee-3B Machado-SS Wells-P
  3. That's odd. In 20 spins last night, I saw the Bulls winning the number 1 pick twice, the 2nd pick once, and the third pick once. Oden, Durant, Horford were the picks. Must just be luckier than you are. In all seriousness, I'll happily take a 4% change at Oden, and a top 10 pick in this stacked draft is very valuable. Bulls end up with Brandon Wright a lot in ESPN's mock, for instance. I'd be PSYCHED to get Brandan Wright. He's like a very slightly less athletic but more polished version of Tyrus Thomas. He'll be a very good pro. He would get burried on the Bulls bench. Hibbert please. Eh, I'm not too impressed with Hibbert. Sure he has height, but height isn't everything. He gets in foul trouble very frequently and a lot of his points, that I saw, came from putbacks. I've been on the Horford bandwgn for quite some time.
  4. The Green Bay Packers select Ben Patrick, TE out of Delaware. He is only from a I-AA school, but this guy has risen up the charts for a TE. Packers need another TE with David Martin being released and with Bubba Franks and Donald Lee's constant struggles. Patrick would be a good fit for the offense.
  5. Aaron Harang looks real goofy.
  6. I'm sorry, but I can't stand the Lakers. I do have a liking for the Clips and Warriors though. Golden State is looking pretty good right now, but the Clippers blew a golden opportunity today. Now they have to hope for the Lakers to lose to Seattle. I'm the same, I want the Clips and Warriors (yay Baron Davis and Matt Barnes) to make it. Kobe dropped 50 on Seattle on 18-25 shooting to secure a playoff spot for the Lakers thanks to the Clippers loss. Even before today the Lakers looked good because if all three teams finished with the same record, the Lakers held the tiebreaker. The Clippers do hold the tiebreaker over the Warriors for the final spot but they'll need GS to slip up here. I'm pulling for the Warriors because a Dallas-GS first round matchup would be pretty interesting. I'd rather have a Golden State-Phoenix series. The final score in each game of that series would be something like 130-125.
  7. I say Philly DOES INDEED beat Cleveland, cause I believe 6ers are a better team then most are giving credit for. They were left for dead when they dealt AI, and since then has gone 29-28. So to automatically assume Cleveland is going to win against Philly, is a wrong state mind to be in. I say 6ers will beat Cleveland. The Sixers have impressed me. They haven't tanked like many of the other lottery bound teams. Philly and the Bobcats seem like two teams that are looking to go forward and are building a lot of confidence for next season. There is part of me that agrees with you and thinks that Philly can beat the Cavs. But there's also a large part of me that says that Cleveland desparately wants that 2 seed and they're going to play as hard and as good as they can to achieve that.
  8. They were shut down by Sabathia though. We were shut down by Kyle Lohse. Kyle. Lohse. :puke:
  9. I think its pretty much must win. I'd be pretty upset if the Bulls don't get that two seed. It's there for the taking, and its definitely an easier path to the conference finals. It's a must win. If Cleveland somehow loses to Philadelphia, I hope we rest our guys. If that were the case, a Nets win over us, combined with a Wizards loss, would push them over the Wizards for the 6th seed and dropping the Wiz to 7th. Of course, that's all wishful thinking as Cleveland more than likely won't lose to Philly. And I was wrong about this. Both Washington and NJ each have two games left. Nets play the Knicks tomorrow while the Wiz host the Magic on Tuesday and go on the road to Indiana on Wednesday. If the Nets win tomorrow and the Wizards lose both games, the Nets will finish 6th in the East no matter what they do against us on Wednesday.
  10. Seattle lost. Hopefully they can luck into playing the Mavs bench players, but I'm not holding my breath that they could even beat them.

  13. Hensley shut us out last year. Look for more of the same this year.
  14. Iowa won 3-2. Mathes finally had a good start: 6 IP, 5 hits, 2 ERs, 1 BB, 3 Ks. Webb, Rapada, and Cherry held Round Rock scoreless for the final 3 innings. Pie was 2/3 with a BB and an RBI. Fontenot was 2/4 with a double and a run scored. Koyie Hill had the eventual game-winning RBI on a homer he hit in the 6th.
  15. That one was a cookie and he flies out to right.
  16. Wow, thought he would've called that. Come on...
  17. Only righties we have on the bench are Cedeno and Blanco.
  18. Here comes an easy 1-2-3 inning. Stanton to face Jones. That's an automatic out.
