  1. The "snakebit" thing was amusing, but the world pretty much was coming to an end when someone got hurt on our team the last two years. We had absolutely no one to back up DLee last year and our season went down the crapper because of it. Of course, we would've eventually fallen to the wayside anyway with our bad pitching and our lack of offense at the other positions on the field, but that probably wouldn't have happened until at least another few weeks in May  At least we have depth in the OF this year and Pie is pretty close to ML ready. That's why I'm not worried in the least if Fonzie has to go on the DL. That being said, I think he'll only be out a few days. Hamstring issues suck, but I think he'll be good to go in the 5-7 days that he mentioned.
  2. Peoria wins it 3-1. Carrillo and Maestri hold Quad Cities scoreless for the final four innings.
  3. Tennessee won 7-2. Hart got the win as he went 5 innings allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, 4 Ks/2 BBs. Reinhard, Mendez, and Layden shut out Chattanooga for the final four innings, allowing only two hits between the three of them. Chris Walker had a 3-run homer in the 4th inning, where the Smokies got all 7 of their runs. Tennessee only had five hits: 2 by Walker, 1 by Spearman, 1 by Robinson, and 1 by Hart. Fox and Dope both finished 0/4. Daytona won 4-2. Santo won his second game of the season, going 6 and 2/3's, allowing 5 hits, 2 runs, walking 1 and striking out none. Blevins finished out the final 2 and a third to earn his first save of the season. Amador was 3/4 with an RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs scored. Matulia had a single and a triple. Colvin finished 1/4 with an RBI. Peoria up 3-1 in the 8th. Alburquerque is in line for the win: 5 IP, 4 hits, 1 ER, 3 Ks/1 BB. Wellington Castillo has 3 hits, Yusuf has two, including a triple, and Johnston also has two singles.
  4. Wasn't barrett throw to make. Marquis had the ball. Ah, my bad then.
  5. Has Barrett even thrown out a runner this year? Letting a pitcher steal on you is the most embarassing thing that can happen to a catcher.
  6. I'm getting sick and tired of Barrett's crappy ABs.
  7. Much appreciation for Sledge and Branyan swinging very early in their ABs.
  8. Was that the Reds game in 04 when Dusty got tossed for failing to execute a double switch? Probably my most favorite game from that season.
  9. Well Jason, there's the only run support you're going to get in this game. Hopefully you hold onto it.
  10. Walking guys right in front of the pitcher. Yeah, that's the Marquis that I know.
  11. Pretty sure Cotts hasn't allowed an ER yet without looking at the stats. I was against the trade at the start, but just have to live with it. Aardsma has closer's stuff while Cotts is a pitcher who has had just one real good year so far in his career.
  12. OH! So that's what it's like to score your leadoff man!
  13. I like it. Only 5 behind the lead. I was nowhere this close last year.
