  1. First Hawks game I've seen this year. And they didn't look too good.
  2. TBS Fox needs to make some changes in the booth. It isn't working.
  3. My backup plan for the playoffs is working quite well. One more, Cleveland.
  4. -25 defense hurts. a lot. I thought defense didn't matter?
  5. Braun 5th in ROTY? I agree that Tulowitzki should win, but there's no way Braun should be that low in the ROTY rankings.
  6. Take that, stock market.
  7. Based on what? And as long as teams keep trying to shut down Rice and making Rutgers QB beat them, opposing teams are going to have success against Rutgers. Based on Michigan playing like a top ten team the last five weeks. I guess that makes sense. Michigan struggled against Eastern Michigan's spread offense. Eastern. Michigan. Yeah, I'll admit that they played their most complete game against Purdue. But to say that they are going to blow out Illinois is completely false.

  9. I've been a Red Sox fan almost as long as I've been a Cub fan. Always felt like they had a lot in common. Hahahahaha....Red Sox and Cubs have a lot in common? Hahahahaha. Notice I said had, not have. They're polar opposites today. They actually know how to hit. The fanbase, passion for the team, vintage ballparks, and the "curses." Every Red Sox fan I've met can't stand the Cubs. To hell with them.
  10. Wow, that was an idiotic move to give him the green light on a 3-0 count. One more.
  11. According to Brenly, he said it to his team in a pre-game meeting today. This is in addition to his proclaimation that the Rockies weren't good, just lucky. As I said, have a great winter, you shaggy-haired, arm-flapping, mouthbreathing douche. Don't worry guys, he'll try to amuse us by trying to find his dog in water! What a clown. Actually, as far as a tv personality goes, he's a lot better and more engaging than a lot of people. I guess, I've never really found him to be as funny as others. Corpas finally coming in. What took so long, Hurdle?

  13. Pitching wasn't the Cubs problem. Offense was the main problem for the Cubs this year, besides that week and a half stretch they had in September. Theriot would make for a decent bench player. He's not a starting caliber SS for a team that actually wants to contend. It may be true that he didn't make a lot of errors, but he also has no range at all--something a good SS needs to be, well, good at fielding. There's my contribution to this amazing thread.
  14. I'm shocked at how more people don't know how good Franklin Morales really is.
  15. I turned it on midway through the 3rd quarter. Much more exciting than the snooze-fest that was on NBC.
  16. Playoffs or not, it should be a fun group to watch in terms of development.
  17. I hate the state of Iowa. Illinois gives the game away to Iowa earlier today and then SIU gives the game away to Northern Iowa later today. We nearly pulled out a miracle as we ran a lateral play from our own 40 and it ended all the way up at the UNI 4 as time expired, which would have given us the win. I hate that damn UNI-Dome. Oh well. SIU should finish the regular season at 10-1 and Illinois should be able to bounce back against a Michigan team that is likely going to be without its best player. Still, screw you Iowa.
  18. Northwestern comes back from a 21 point deficit to beat Minnesota in double OT. Minnesota went for the win as they went for 2 in the 2nd OT, but they didn't get in. Needless to say, I'm sure Jon is happy.
