34 points in the 1st half with Hinrich running the team for a lot of those minutes. 36 points in the 3rd quarter with Duhon as the PG for 11 minutes in the 3rd. Start. Duhon. After last year, I can't believe I'm saying that, but he really is the only player on our team that can run the offense. Remember when we were 0-9 in 04-05? The first game Duhon started was that game on the road against Utah and we won. Sure he doesn't have the best shot, but he can run the offense and is a great passer. For the most part, he's also a much smarter player than Hinrich. I don't think it's a coincidence that we looked the best we have all year when Duhon was running the point last night.

And that would be pretty bogus. Explain to me why Illinois deserves a BCS spot over Missouri. I'm all ears. don't you remember? illinois almost beat missouri. i don't think anyone is saying illinois deserves a bcs spot over missouri....it's just that if osu makes the nc, the rose bowl is going to select illinois as their replacement. Exactly. I think everyone knows that Missouri deserves a BCS bid over Illinois seeing how Missouri did beat them head-to-head. But logic doesn't apply to the BCS. This isn't the BCS. It would be the Rose Bowl wanting to keep to the tradition of having a Big 10-Pac 10 matchup in their game. What I was referring to is how a team can get snubbed from the BCS because of the rule where only two teams from one conference can make a BCS bowl. The top teams should make the top bowls. If Oklahoma were to beat Missouri, I'd have to think that all three of those Big 12 teams belong in a BCS bowl game. I won't complain this year because it should help out Illinois, but it is a terrible rule for the system.

Indiana certainly looks better on the offensive end, but they're not as good on the defensive end. At least in this game they weren't. Really looking forward to the game on Saturday night.

I'm pretty much the only Illinois fan saying it, but I'm pulling harder for Washington so we can go to the Sugar Bowl. That drive to New Orleans is a lot easier/cheaper than the flight to Pasadena. Plus, New Year's in New Orleans has to be insane. Pretty sure you are the only Illini fan saying that. I'd be ecstatic if both Illinois and Hawaii made BCS bowls. Go Sooners.

Joe Novak is going to announce his retirement as coach of Northern Illinois. Please hire Larry Coker. And I can't wait for our playoff game against UMass on Saturday. What a day that's going to be. A trip to the I-AA Final Four on the line in the afternoon followed by the basketball game between SIU and Indiana.

I am stunned. USC played like crap against far inferior teams like USD. I was expecting a 10 point win for your Salukies. Yeah, I saw their games against San Diego and Miami Ohio. They didn't look too impressive. But they sure did against us. Oh well, come tournament time, I think USC is going to be ranked so this won't classify as a "bad loss." Either way, we need to come out with a lot more intensity against Indiana.

We got our asses whupped by USC tonight. Just too athletic for us. Not what I wanted heading into the Indiana game on Saturday.

Illinois #15 and Hawaii #11. I like. Tennessee is right ahead of Illinois, so if they lose in the SEC Title game, Illinois would at least move up to #14 in the AP Poll. Hopefully they can get up to #14 in the BCS.

No one liked Hinrich's bricks he shot up with under 3 minutes to go in the game? This guy is the definition of anti-clutch. He is terrible when the pressure is on. Yet he still continues to jack up shots that have no business of being shot in the first place. Another sub-80 point effort for the Bulls. This offense is a joke. I know Deng's not in there, but something needs to change.

I want to see Ohio State in the title game for two reasons. 1. To get embarassed by West Virginia 2. Illinois would make the Rose Bowl if Ohio State makes the title game. Sounds good to me. -

anyway, if kansas hadnt choked in the red zone so bad early this would be a very good game right now Exactly. This game has been MUCH closer than the score has indicated. Too bad KU doesn't have a kicker. It would be a one possession game right now. Come on...get a couple of stops. I completely disagree. Mizzou has looked like a much better team all evening. I agree that Missouri has looked better, but KU hasn't looked too bad on offense this game. They've moved the ball down the field on almost every drive. Unfortunately, they have an idiot at kicker and their offense goes to crap when the ball goes inside the 20. Missouri is the better team, but it hasn't been a complete mismatch. -
If we beat USC tomorrow, we might actually be favored in that game. I haven't been impressed with IU at all, but I know they're going to bring their A game out next Saturday. We better do the same.

We get it, you love Florida. We know. You don't have to remind us. Over And Over And Over. Maybe if you do, you will accept the truth about how good they are despite their three losses. They have a real good offense. Too bad their defense can't stop anybody not named Florida State. -
Creighton lost their two best players and Missouri State lost their best player without really improving either. The Valley isn't going to be that great this year.

SIU defeats Mississippi State 63-49 to move on to the final of the Anaheim Tournament. Another good game for Falker and another solid game defensively as we held a pretty decent team to under 50 points. We play the winner of the USC/Miami-Ohio game on Sunday night.

It's a bad deal. Everyone on here hated the Eyre and Howry deals. A middle reliever should not be getting a contract that big.
