This Illinois defense is really howry bad. Thank God for the penalty, but they're letting Michigan run and pass all over them. Pretty sad.

No kidding. There's a chance Tennessee shoots themselves in the foot tonight against Northern Illinois while I'm in the press box and then shortly thereafter, the Cubs will have the chance to get mercilessly beaten the Dodgers for the third time. Maybe the Titans will win... You guys will be fine, don't worry. I'm pretty sure Illinois is going to get upset by Michigan, SIU will lose to North Dakota St. and NIU will lose to you guys. And the Packers will lose to the Falcons without a real QB for the first time in 17 years. I'm not even going to mention tonight. Worst sports weekend ever? Most likely.

Stop using that term. Please. FWIW, I'd love to see Cabrera at SS next year. Perfect #2 hitter in a lineup and he actually has range and an arm on defense. Move Lee for anything. Try to free up money to go after Sabathia. I know the probabilities of this are slim to none, but it's sure fun to dream. -
So let me get this straight. Fukudome is trash for about 4 straight months, Lou starts him in the playoffs, he's still trash, and then Lou is surprised/upset? Good job Lou Yeah but Dusty would have done the exact same thing, but still defended him, and then made some sort of weird fishing analogy that confuses everyone and causes him to change the subject. Also Mike Fontenot would be out of baseball if Dusty was still the manager, so the next best option would have been like Steve Finley or something, but still. Why are we comparing Lou to Dusty though? Dusty should not be the standard manager to make comparisons about. Everybody is better than Dusty, so you shouldn't be congratulated for it. Fukudome has been trash for months and everybody knew it. It's Lou's fault for playing him. Dusty actually managed a team to a playoff win. sorry, had to do it. fixedddd

Len just said we should just relax and play the type of baseball we've played all year. That's such a novel idea. He is also consistently saying that the pressure is on the Dodgers right now. What the hell are you smoking Len? And that's why I miss Chip and Steve. Enough ass-kissing, Len. Come on.

I'd take Orlando Cabrera. At least he can field, unlike Theriot. You'd have to think he'd be able to improve his average and OBP in the NL as well. Theroit>Cabrera I really don't think Theriot is a long-term fixture at SS, but to each his own.

:banghead: The sad part is, we'll be back like sheeps when next season rolls around. We'll root for them all year and then be forced to sit through another postseason choke job. I'll still root for them, but I don't think I'm going to care as much in the regular season. It's all pointless if this is what it's going to lead up to every damn year. you're gonna get sucked in just like all of us other saps. you know it's true. I am a sucker for pain, but I don't know what'll happen. But I mean if this is what winning the regular season every year leads to, what's the point of wasting countless days watching regular season games?

We'll see if that holds true. I said the same thing to several people today, but come March, you know you'll be watching again. I think we'll all need a break from this crapfest if we lose this series.
